Group Coaching Testimonies

Check out what others ar saying about
our Group Coaching sessions.

This has awakened in me a new perspective filled with hope and adventure. I was truly blessed by this session. I will be working on my 2 pictures Monday afternoon & Tuesday afternoon of next week. However, I believe this assignment could be addicting enough to proceed before then. I loved it!! Thank you so much sweet Kathryn Rich Bonner for all of your time you have shared to enrich all of us!!! God bless you and refresh you in abundance as you have refreshed ♥
~ Kimberly Powers Lothringer

I finally got to listen to the call...thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved everyone's stories and hearing how they all approached the picture from very different places. I did the exercises as well before I listened to theirs and mine was totally different as well. This is so helpful Kathryn.

I cannot begin to explain the impact "Ignite the Writer Within" Private Group Coaching with Kathryn Bonner has had on my LIFE!!! First, I "wasn't a writer, I'm a speaker", well, as they say, if you speak, you write! This conference has literally transformed my calling! These ladies know what they teach. It has been through their encouragement and commitment that my ministry was launched. In fact, I have started my own writer's group and it has encouraged and strengthened other writers. These women are living their legacy. Definitely a "must do"!!

Being part of the Ignite The Writer Within Private Coaching Circle with Kathryn Bonner is an AMAZING experience! I have had an abundance of ideas to write about but I wasn't able to focus on one subject and actually get started. Everything changed for me within 15 minutes of the first session! The support and encouragement from Kathryn and from each of the participants in the group conquered any fears that I had...they simply vanished. I will forever be grateful to you Kathryn...you have blessed my heart and my life! Love, Bette

I am one lucky person. One night I was cruising through my facebook page and I saw where Kathryn Bonner was going to teach a writing class. The thing that intrigued me most was the fact that I could take this writing class right in my own office with my pajamas on. Glory be!! Talk about fate dropping in my lap. I loved the class. Smart women teach the class and have organized a notebook with all the prompts and suggestions in it. It is an action book that I will use for years to come. Let's say you are stuck on your writing. Just turn in your action book and do the activities and just like magic your problem is solved. Say the old gremlin is pestering you today and telling you that you are unworthy and can't write. Who do you think you are, the gremlin asks? Again, turn in your action book and get immediate help.

But the BEST surprise of all is when Kathryn offered the separate Group Coaching. What a blessing that was. She gives individual help that encourages and supports each one in the Private Group Coaching. It's better than anything I have ever experienced. Not only is she an instant friend, she prays you through your road blocks. I loved the coaching and would recommend it to anyone who needs a nudge in your writing and calling from God. Let me start by saying that being part of the Ignite the Writer Within course itself has been an amazing journey for me that has been filled with so many wonderful doors opening in my mind and in my heart! Being part of the Ignite The Writer Within Private Group Coaching Circle with Kathryn Bonner has helped to build the confidence I have in myself as a writer. I no longer tell people that I'd like to aspire to writing, but that I AM a writer. Being part of this Group Coaching Circle allows one to share a part of themselves without fear of harsh criticism or indifference has made a big impact on my willingness to take chances with my writing. The results of both the class and the reinforcement of the Private Group Coaching Circle have been - for me - nothing less than life-changing. I am so grateful to have been given this opportunity, and to have been able to meet these amazing, Godly women whom I hope to know and keep in contact with for years to come!

I am blessed that I was able to take part in the Ignite the Writer and Private Group Coaching Circle with Kathryn Bonner. The writing curriculum was a huge blessing as I worked through the exercises and participated in the online discussions. I have felt God's call on my life to write for many years and this group has given me the confidence to take bold leaps of faith.
The Coaching has been a huge blessing as the discussions are always so helpful and very thought provoking. I have written 4 chapters for my book and have recently begun working on Bible Study curriculum as well. Thank you Kathryn and all of the women who were a part of this wonderful experience.

SET A GAURD OVER MY MOUTH, O LORD, KEEP WATCH OVER THE DOOR OF MY LIPS Psalm 141:3

I love this Scripture! In my study of "DOORS" in the Scriptures, this one has moved me. I never noticed this Scripture, not really anyway... although I have read the Psalms over and over again...

I can envision the actual sacred and protective guard that the LORD would provide me. They look heavenly and have loving eyes - eyes that smile at me with joy and cheer me on as I speak love - as I speak truth. They flutter about me playfully and enjoy me as I am in the WORD.

They bring me an extraordinary depth of wisdom. All they do is deeper and fuller - weather it be laughing or revealing wisdom or discipline, they do so in extremes.

Lord I give you thanks for the guard that you assign to the doors of my lips! Lord let me be always aware of their presence, aware of the way the come to guard me - aware of how they are here for my good, for my protection. Let me heed their warnings. I thank you for providing doors over my lips and for the way they guard those doors!

Let them have full charge in knowing when to shut the doors and when to allow them to swing wide open!

O LORD, your doors to my heart and lips are amazing! Shut them tight should what my lips want to say not be honoring to you. Let me always glorify you and bring you honor and praise with the words that come and flow out of my lips. Swing WIDE the doors of my lips as I sing songs of praise and worship, as I lift up my fellow brothers and sisters on the journey. Let me speak words of truth, love, direction to my coaching clients.

Let me speak, hear, and communicate only your thoughts. Let me stay so connected to you Father that I never speak anything that is not of you!

Lord and I ask that I be connected in a lovely and sacred way to my guards in which you provide me. Let me love this guard and surrender to Lady Wisdom. Let me know my guard and appreciate her, because she ONLY has the VERY BEST INTENTION for me. Only wants to see me succeed. Lady Wisdom, is what I will call her... Thank you God! I name her this because I want to be a truly lady in all that I do, lovely in gentleness, lovely in kindness, lovely in self-control, lovely in peace making, lovely in gentleness, lovely in forgiveness, lovely in love, lovely in patience, lovely in goodness and lovely in joy!

AND because of the guard you provide me with, and the amazing amount of Wisdom she will bring me in all aspects of my life I give thanks!

I am praising you my God and King for all of your provision! You think of EVERYTHING, and always take care of all our needs!

Doors, Guards, & Lips,
Kathryn

QUESTIONS JESUS ASKS - Trees Walking... Shifts In Perspective Are Always Needed

OK, here's our passage for today...(and several more days)

Mark 8:22-26 "They came to Bethsaida, and some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him. He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man's eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, "Do you see anything?" He looked up and said, "I see people; they look like trees walking around." Once more Jesus put his hands on the man's eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly. Jesus sent him home, saying, "Don't go into the village."

There is so much in this passage of Scripture that I am going to come back to it over and over as God continues to open my eyes to it. I know that there is much to this passage that He has for me. Today it seems that God wants me to look at PERSPECTIVE right now, so that is what I am going to "focus my eyes on" today.

In verse 24, after Jesus has taken the blind man by the hand and taken him outside the village, spit on the mans eyes and put his hands on him, then after that Jesus asks him "Do you see anything?"

The mans response is "I SEE PEOPLE; THEY LOOK LIKE TREES WALKING AROUND."
How many times do you see people all around you not as people, but as objects? How is it that we are viewing them? What about your spouse, your friends, your boss, your co-worker, your team, your children?

Have you allowed yourself to become jaded to who they really are in Christ? What about yourself? How are you viewing yourself? Are you seeing yourself as someone that doesn't measure up? Or as someone who will never get it right? Someone who doesn't see the true passion and joy in this world any more?

Maybe it's your view on Christ? How do you see Him in your life? When was the last time you allowed Him to take you by the hand and remove you from the outside influences of life? To take you away so that you could begin to see Him, others and yourself with the absolute truths that are really there?

Allow God to take you by the hand TODAY, take some time to be with Him, to see HIM with new eyes, to see OTHERS with new eyes, and to see YOURSELF with new eyes! It's time for you to take the hand in hand walk with the Creator of the World and Restore Your Sight!

While doing so, ask God to give you new Perspectives in all the areas He wants you to have. Commit to placing your hand in His each and every day and take a "Perspective Stroll" with El Roi- The God of Seeing, The God who Sees You, The God who Opens Your Eyes!

Sight, Strolls and Seeing,
Kathryn Bonner

LIVE BIG!!!!

An excerpt from my friend Dr. Katie Brazelton's newest release...
LIVE BIG! 10 Life Coaching Tips for Living Large, Passionate Dreams by Katie Brazelton, PhD, MDiv

Imagine that you and I are being pampered in first class, relaxing comfortably on an
afternoon flight to your favorite world-class resort. As we gaze out the airplane window, it seems as though we're floating through an endless sea of marshmallow clouds, soaring together through the heavens. Up here, dreams somehow seem crystal clear. I think it's because we can pretend we've risen above the rough, mountainous terrain of life and can look down on our hills and valleys, seeing events from a fresh perspective.

From this bird's eye view, glance down at what is below: your daily routine, closest
relationships, untapped potential, and countless opportunities. Let this vantage point help you set your sights on a passionate megadream and an inspiring hope for the future! I would not dare to author a book on such an important topic as Living Big without practicing what I preach. So, as I write this, I am on a flight to Hawaii (I wish it were first class) for an extended stay to consider living there indefinitely. I was raised in Hawaii and the Marshall Islands in a navy family, so the tropical breeze has always been alluring to me. Might this be where I will plant another Life Purpose Coaching Center...or find the time to launch my long-?dreamed-?of radio show...or finish this book? I don't know the answers to those questions, but I do know that I can't fail, because this is simply a experiment, with memories waiting to be made. I'm not going to rush the process or force a decision, only enjoy the journey to yea or nay. There is no right or wrong way to dream. Well, actually, I do believe there's one wrong way, and that is to let the dream stagnate without taking any action! I am embarking on this time of exploration because I am in a new season of my life, formally ending two decades of single parenting. My son recently accepted an out of state job promotion, taking his sweet wife and my two young grandsons with him. Shortly thereafter, my daughter announced her engagement, which means she, too, will be moving away from our home area. In the blink of an eye, without my permission, I have been thrust into a new chapter of my life. On one hand, I am sad and fearful. On the other hand, now I have no more excuses for not doing whatever I want, which is another way of saying "whatever I feel God is calling me to do next." I am operating in a spirit of supersized living right now, and not just because I may soon be draped in large muumuus, walking barefoot to the local market to buy macadamia-?nut chocolates, and blatantly enticing my family with extended holiday vacations in paradise. Dreaming in high definition and surround sound and then taking appropriate steps to live those dreams is what this book is all about. You may not have a burning desire to move to a distant land, but what do you want out of life? Are you a student anxiously finishing college? A young mom who's busy raising twins? An overseas missionary on a brand-?new assignment? A career woman vying for an enviable position? A widow with only a few pressing obligations? Regardless of your role in life, you and I have a few things in common:
-We love to dream.
-God designed us to dream.
-And there's no day like today to start discovering God's best!

I need you to know that I'm not so far up in the clouds that I am unaware of your everyday realities. Life has prepared me well to be your Life Coach. I have a testimony of brokenness, and I'm honored to help you dream. Check out what I call "My 7 Big D's" -?-? events that shaped me for nearly twenty years.

My 7 Big D's
1982 Barely survived a serious, four-?month depression.
1986 Devastated by a totally unexpected divorce.
1988 Confused about having to rewrite my doctoral dissertation.
1990 Deeply saddened by the death of my ex-husband.
1991 Angered by a corporate downsizing, which left me laid off just days after buying a home.
1993 Terrified by a dating incident.
2001 Shocked by the death of my dream when my first book contract was canceled due to
budget cuts after 9/11.

What does this list tell you, other than that I must have built up a lot of stamina by now? It says that you can trust me to understand what you're going through and to tell it like it is when I coach you without skirting around the issues. I care deeply about making sure you don't get stuck in the quagmire of life, as I did too many times. These chapters will take you on a journey to find what you're really jazzed about what makes you smile, laugh, play, sing, and dance. It's time to daydream about the adventure God has in store for you!

Amos 4:13 tells us that God reveals His thoughts to us: "He who forms the mountains, who creates the wind, and who reveals his thoughts to mortals, who turns dawn to darkness, and treads on the heights of the earth the Lord God Almighty is his name." We want to do whatever it takes to be ready for that revelation. As your Life Coach, I will come alongside you like a Barnabas (a name that Acts 4:13 tells us means "son of encouragement"). We will enjoy life changing chats about you, stealing precious moments within your hectic schedule. I know how hard it is for you to find time for a conversation about your legacy, your destiny, your divine urge. As you are able to sneak away from your daily routine, it will be my job and my joy to sit with you and draw out of you the distinct calling God laid on your heart eons ago, before you were ever born. And then, equally important, we will put baby steps in place to help you live out your exciting, God-?designed purpose, which has long been the desire in your soul even if it has lain dormant.

This book is loaded with modern, true stories of everyday saints, Bible character parallels, inspirational quotes, some of my favorite Scripture verses, heartfelt prayers, ten coaching tips, forty action steps, reflection questions, and practical exercises with sample answers from my own life to trigger your thinking. (Don't miss the Web downloads, too, which are my special gift to you!) You will hear from real women, students, wives, mothers, a widow, career women, church staff members who all have tremendous testimonies to share. I urge you to break all of the normal book reading rules and jump into the chapters in any sequence you please. Did you know that doing the unexpected can change your perspective, which will then cause you to see your world through new eyes?

I've chosen these particular topics for us to explore in detail as we discover what it takes to Live Big!
1. Face Your Fears
2. Learn to Exhale
3. Honor Your Deepest Longings
4. Don't Ever Give Up
5. Use Your Past for Good
6. Expect Miracles
7. Forgive Someone
8. Eat Dessert First
9. Ask Jesus for Vision
10. Capture Your Live Big! Dream

I can't help but think: If only someone had told me that! or Why didn't I learn that in school? Frankly, I feel there ought to be a law mandating that schools teach us to be tenacious, forgiving, and courageous. We need classes at church that help us reach for our dreams, expect miracles, focus forward, and breathe calmly through adversity. But most important, we must learn how to play and to stop taking ourselves so seriously and to start cherishing God's incredibly specific plan for our lives. In this way, we address the habits that help us attract or sabotage God's boldest wishes for us. Each of the ten coaching tips will give you a broader, richer understanding of how to run and finish the race well.

You probably picked up this book because you want to travel boldly down the path to
purpose and fulfillment, yet perhaps you've lost sight of your dreams, hopes, and longings possibly because of regrets, exhaustion, stubbornness, fears, sins, and so on. We're all burdened with something. You want to bring glory to God with your life, but you may be carrying such a heavy weight of boredom, loneliness, doubt, pride, and/or hopelessness that you've forgotten how to unleash your creativity. The biblical perspective in this book will help you hear God's promptings more clearly and act on them with pure joy.

I encourage you to dream big dreams during this eyeopening, heartpounding quest. Let me share with you forty proven, incremental steps that I personally have used for years and have coached my clients through -?-? action steps that will help you to live a significance filled life. God will be honored, and you will be blessed. You will find yourself empowered beyond your wildest imagination as you Live Big!
Will you take your first small step today?

RENEWAL OF THE MIND

RENEWAL OF THE MIND
by Kathryn Bonner
What do Mind and Spirit Have To Do With One Another?

"The unspiritual self, just as it is by nature, can't receive the gifts of God's Spirit. There's no capacity for them. They seem like so much silliness. Spirit can be known only by spirit-God's Spirit and our spirits in open communion. Spiritually alive, we have access to everything God's Spirit is doing, and can't be judged by unspiritual critics. Isaiah's question, "Is there anyone around who knows God's Spirit, anyone who knows what he is doing?" has been answered: Christ knows, [we have the mind of Christ] and we have Christ's Spirit."
1 Corinthians 2: 15-16 The Message [NIV]

What do you notice immediately here? I see from the first verse listed here, we have "TWO SELVES" an UNspiritual self and a Spiritual self. Thinking about this causes me to burst with passion here! Which "SELF" do you want to live by? For me, and I'm sure for most of you reading this choose your SPIRITUAL SELF. But wait a minute, let's look at this a bit deeper.... go with me here... If we are to be honest with ourselves and were to answer the question: "What percentage of your daily life is lived through your SPIRITUAL SELF vs. your UNspiritual Self?" What would your answer be? Why is it that our UNspiritual self gets such a hold on us? God has given us healthy minds gifted with the power of choice. So why aren’t we choosing to live more fully into our SPIRITUAL Selves? Do we fear this kind of living? Do we? I think we do, and yet I think we want it, even crave it. Then fear creeps in and snatches it away.

The very next part of the sentence states that the Unspiritual self can’t even receive the gifts of God’s Spirit!!! Oh my gosh! That answers SO much. When we choose not to live as the Spirit leads then we basically have what I will call our “Spiritual Antenna” down. We fail to pick up on the leading of the Spirit, we fail to connect with God, our ears are plugged up, our hearts are hardened, our minds aren’t receiving through the Spirit, or the mind of God. Why in the world do we choose this self, the Unspiritual Self? And what’s more, we fail to see the power, the untapped amounts of real life that we could have. We see it from a warped lens, seeing it as “silliness” as ridiculous, stupid, or absurd. It’s like we voluntarily choose to live a powerless life. A life unfulfilled, disgruntled, and dissatisfied. Why? Why are we choosing this over what is readily available to us? What’s here? What’s the reason for this kind of choosing? I know we all do it, I know we blindly choose it. Is it because we are so used to choosing this kind of living? Are we just not really aware?

Well, we need to be AWARE of what we are choosing. Because once we become aware, then our AWARENESS DEMANDS ACTION. Even doing nothing is an action. We need to be awakened to our full potential to live alive, to live powerful lives. To live into our SPIRITUAL selves. As I become more aware and contemplate the power of the Mind and the Spirit, I become absolutely enthralled, especially when contemplating them coupled together. Once we become aware of the action we can choose we can live awakened lives, with the Spirit and mind of Christ. Why do we want to miss that? What would happen if you were to choose this, for one day, one week, one month, one quarter, one year, ONE WHOLE LIFE? What would be different for you? What would be different for the world?

The passage goes on to say these things “Spirit can be known only by spirit-God's Spirit and our spirits in open communion. Spiritually alive, we have access to everything God's Spirit is doing, and can't be judged by unspiritual critics. Isaiah's question, "Is there anyone around who knows God's Spirit, anyone who knows what he is doing?" has been answered: Christ knows, [we have the mind of Christ] and we have Christ's Spirit.”

What we have here is a gift that has been lovingly and powerfully delivered to us, living within us is both the Spirit and Mind of Christ, IF we choose it.

“Spirit can be known only by Spirit, God’s Spirit and our spirits in open communion” ummm ummm ummm… I LOVE this! I KNOW this; my Spirit resonates completely with this. When I am in the company of others who are “Spiritually alive” my Spirit recognizes this in them immediately, I know yours does the same. We together in communion recognize this within each other. We feel and experience the power of the Spirit in one another.

Let me share another Scripture with you. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting the baby (John) leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. Luke 1:41

This confirms what the 1 Corinthians passage above is telling us. Spirit can be known by Spirit, God’s Spirit and our Spirits in open communion. Spiritually alive! I love this! --Elizabeth was then at least six months pregnant as v. 36 tells us. She notes the reality that John "leaped" in her womb as an indication of his joy that Mary, who would bear the Messiah, had come for a visit. The Holy Spirit also came upon Elizabeth then making it known to her to greet Mary as the mother of Messiah. The Spirit evidently gave her intuitive understanding of Mary's role. She expressed her blessing excitedly in joyful praise to God and because of the Spirit's propelling.

I have had my Spirit rise with joy when I am with others who love God. It’s amazing the connection (that communion) – we feel when our Spirit recognizes the Spirit in another human being. I have some really deep soul/Spirit connections with some amazing women, especially on the WPPI Team, and together we grab hold of our God-given passions and go! Have you had your Spirit rise with this amazing joy at a Holy Spirit connection with someone? I’m sure you have. You might not have called it that, but I really want you to become more and more aware of these things of the Spirit. I believe we all experience our Spirit’s rise with joy when we are with others who love God! It’s amazing the kind of connection that comes forth, AND the more power we have together in the Spirit, BECAUSE WE HAVE ACCESS TO EVERYTHING GOD’S SPIRIT IS DOING, we have the Spirit living and dwelling within us. We begin to live our lives with more and more of the Mind of Christ; living out our callings with His power, and His will. His will is amazing and truly rocks! We begin seeing the world more as He does and start doing and being and living by the Spirit…

Let our challenge be to live out this verse in our living! Let us choose our God-given SPIRITUAL SELVES! May you live in that amazing POWER today and always!

Doors and More Doors

Doors and More Doors,
Heavenly Doors...
What are the God-given doorways
in your life?
"BLESSED IS THE MAN WHO LISTENS TO ME, WATCHING DAILY AT MY DOORS, WAITING AT MY DOORWAY. FOR THOSE WHO FIND ME FIND LIFE AND RECEIVE FAVOR FROM THE LORD " Proverbs 8:34-35

Have you ever given much thought to the doors that the Lord might be opening in your life? Especially when you wait on him to call you, then as you truly listen to Him and proceed to take the courage to actually do what He asks of you? The LORD God Himself actually escorts you as you take the steps! If you commence to walking with Him you soon will be astonished with the incredible journey He will take you on! For me it has been truly grand!
As I become more and more obedient to Him, to His direction, the blessings just keep coming my way! I have been so busy these last few months experiencing the many doors He has opened unto me! I have been astounded by His abundance and blessing upon my life. All of the Holy Spirit directed connections, the new women He has place in my life and all that we are up to together for Him is huge!

God has so much to bestow upon those who seek Him and seek His will. What perspective do you take as you begin to view the Heavenly Doors? Have you ever really thought about doors and the passageways as heavenly?
Do you choose to stay in the room with your ears plugged and the doors shut tightly all around you in order not to venture out? Does that idea feel safer to you so that you do not have to take any risks?

What would it be like for you if you were to view the word risk and shift the perspective of it? Shift the viewpoint of RISK to FAITH? Faithfully seeing a door as a heavenly opening? What doors are you keeping tightly shut that you know you should be opening? What might be on the other side of the door should you open it?
In the verse above you see that as you listen to the calling of the LORD you will be blessed! I am so amazed at the way He calls us forth to do His work! Until the end of time we must be listening to Him, listening to His voice, His Words of wisdom, His Words of direction, His Words of love. his true desire is to bless us, not to cause us to fear Him or His calling on our lives.

I love the second part of this passage as we are instructed to watch DAILY at His doors. Not just every now and then, or once a month when we think about it, but every single day we are to be WAITING AND WATCHING at His doors, waiting for Him to bless us!

The thought of this is beautiful to me as I begin to become more and more aware of the doors that He is guiding me to walk through each and every day.

Picture the glow peeking through, radiating from underneath the door, beckoning you to come... to draw closer and closer to the door. Laying on your tummy with your face up close to the door, you begin to peer through the opening seeing the lights luminosity and your nostrils take in the smells of fresh air, smelling the sweet fragrance of a magnolia tree! The scent fills you with warmth and hope for the day!
You begin to rise, placing your hand upon the old antique door knob which juts out from the old wooden hewn door - leading to the heavenly places of God, as He calls you forth; you go... you go...
You journey on with expectancy from Him who leads...

On the amazing journey with you,
Kathryn

UNENDING LIFE

I subscribe to the daily word from this dictionary reference. Those of you that know me, know that I am one who loves words! I love the meaning that ONE simple word can hold within a few letters. I find it fascinating and valuable. I love the power of the spoken word in each of our lives, how we are able to build one another up with our words and the beauty that comes along with that.

God created our Spirit’s within to be moved to a deeper level of intimacy and to be emotionally touched by them. He created the earth and all that is in it and the galaxies with a spoken Word!

Today’s daily word is “INTERMINABLE” pronounced “in-TUR-muh-nuh-buhl “ It means this: “So long as to seem endless; never stopping”

As I began to contemplate this word, I thought about God’s forgiveness is for us, how His peace is for us, His love, His way of blessing us is "interminable!" Thank you God for your endlessness, for loving us endlessly! Ummmmm.... ummmmm soak this in, bathe in it... for it is a gift that is truly endless.

Each and every day we rise with a gorgeous sunrise and each and everyday we witness His magnificent sunsets. This is something that our Lord has done each and every day of our waking and sleeping, it’s endless, never stopping!

Meditate on this Scripture passage:
"But you, dear friends, carefully build yourselves up in this most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit, staying right at the center of God's love, keeping your arms open and outstretched, ready for the mercy of our Master, Jesus Christ This is the unending life, the real life!" Jude 1:20

Behold the meaning of this Scripture, read it over and over and over. What does the Lord reveal to you about Himself? Praise Him for it...

COACHES CALL TO ACTION:

  1. What can you do for the Lord that is interminable?
  2. What might you do for the greater good that is interminable?
  3. What might you do for the building up of another?
  4. How often do you find yourself praying in the Holy Spirit?
  5. Think about what it is for you to "stay right in the center of God's love, keeping your arms open and outstretched" ... Wow!
  6. What do you need to change in order to live into Jude 1:20?

In Christ's unending love,

Kathryn

Body Temple

Each of us has been given a Body Temple in which we house our Holy Spirit. Some bodies short, some tall, some round, some boxy... no matter, let us be clean vessels, healthy and holy to be used by our Lord for the work in which He calls... The Lord has given me these verses today as I have prayed for His revelation in regard to my Body Temple, and He as impressed it upon me to share with you... (Please know that this was just as much for me, if not more-- as it is for you)... The Scripture is in black and I have written in blue, what our LORD has revealed to me through the reading of His Word...
At the end you will find a list of coaching questions...

From Psalm 119:33-40
Teach me, O LORD, the way of Your statutes
, God, thank you that you want me to learn, LORD let me always have a keen desire to soak in your teachings, let me have a hunger and a thirst for those things and keep me from my own fleshly hungers, my own edicts, and solidly stand in Yours. And I shall keep it to the end. Let me start and finish each day with Your will and Your Word for me this day, and every day. Give me understanding, and I shall keep Your law; Indeed, I shall observe it with my whole heart. Cause me not to rationalize with my understanding but with Your law, grant me the reasoning for it, so that I no longer desire my own will but Yours. Let my heart fall in love with Your ways, knowing that You always know what is better for me than I ever could. Let me never lean on my own understanding but in Yours as you make it known to me through Your Word and Your Holy Spirit that is living in me. Make me walk in the path of Your commandments, for I delight in it. Oh Lord, MAKE ME walk with You even when I find myself wanting to walk my own path, draw me back unto Your path! Lord let me truly find your commandments not to be a harsh thought, as the word commandment seems so strong, it causes me to want to run from it! Stop me LORD from running away and getting lost on my path, but call me, let me follow Your path, with sheer joy as I trust and know that Your path is the path of restoration, wholeness and resurrection! Incline my heart to Your testimonies, and not to covetousness. Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, You Lord cause my heart to beat for the things that your heart beats for! Keep me from the want of things that You do not want for my Body Temple which houses the Holy Spirit! Literally, turn my vision and longing away from those foods that are not of You. In fact they are worthless, so why would I ever want to put anything in my mouth that holds no worth? and revive me in Your way. Bring to me a resurrected life in which I only live the way you would have me! Bring me the rival, the new breath of your Holy Spirit which leads me to truth, joy, fulfillment and health! Establish Your word to Your servant, who is devoted to fearing You. Launch me each and every morning into Your Word, causing me to be Yours, fully faithful and committed to respecting Your healthy ideals for me. Turn away my reproach which I dread, Let me never make excuses or try to justify my own cravings which in the end I feel guilty about and ultimately worse for not following what you have guided me to do for Your judgments are good. You cannot, nor would you ever direct me to anything except for what is first-class and holy. Behold, I long for Your precepts; Craving Your Word, Your teachings, your guidelines now I surrender those things in which You have asked me to, take them from me Lord revive me in Your righteousness Oh what freedom I find here with you! The revival has begun, your care and love for me have strengthened me to keep My Body- Your Temple as a Holy dwelling place for You to reside, and to grow in strength so that I might serve you even better!

Coaches Call To Action:
  1. What are the statutes that the Lord longs for you to grasp regarding your Body Temple?
  2. Have you been turning your eyes toward worthless things or from worthless things?
  3. What might you begin doing to make your Body Temple more holy for the housing of the Holy Spirit within you?
  4. What do you know to be true for you in this passage?

QUOUGHTS ON DOORS!!

Doors and More Doors- Heavenly Doors
What are the God-given doorways in your life?

“BLESSED IS THE MAN WHO LISTENS TO ME, WATCHING DAILY AT MY DOORS, WAITING AT MY DOORWAY.”
Proverbs 8:34

Have you ever given much thought to the doors that the Lord might be opening in your life? Especially when you wait on Him to call you, then as you truly listen to Him and proceed to take the courage to actually obey what He asks of you? Then the LORD God Himself actually escorts you as you take the steps! If you commence to walking with Him you will be astonished with the incredible journey He will take you on! For me it has been truly grand!

As I become more and more obedient to Him, to His direction, the blessings just keep coming my way! I have been so busy these last few months experiencing the many doors he has opened unto me! I have been astounded by His abundance and blessing upon my life. My coaching practice, my writing, my Holy Spirit directed connections, the new women He has placed in my life and all that we are up to together is Huge!

He has so much to bestow unto those of us who seek Him and seek His will. What perspective do you take as you begin to view the Heavenly Doors? Have you ever really thought about doors and passageways as heavenly? Do you choose to stay in the room with your ears plugged and the doors shut tightly all around you in order not to venture out? Does that idea feel safer to you so that you do not have to take any risks? What would it be like for you if you were to view the word risk and shift the perspective of it? Shift the viewpoint of risk to faith, faithfully seeing a door as a heavenly opening? What doors are you keeping tightly shut that you know you should to be opening? What might be on the other side of the door should you open it?

In the verse above you see that as you listen to the calling of the LORD you will be blessed! I am so amazed at the way He calls us forth to do His work! Until the end of time we must be listening to Him, listening to His voice, His Words of wisdom, His Words of direction, His Words of love. His true desire is to bless us, not to cause us to fear Him or His calling on our lives.

I love the second part of this passage as we are instructed to watch daily at His doors. Not just every now and then, or once a month when we think about it, but every single day we are to be watching daily at HIS doors, waiting for Him to bless us! The thought of this is beautiful to me as I begin to become more and more aware of the doors that He is guiding me to walk through each and every day!

Picture the glow peeking through, radiating from underneath the door, beckoning you to come… to draw closer closer to the door. Laying on your tummy with your face up close to the door, you begin to peer through the opening seeing the lights luminosity and your nostrils take in the smells of fresh air, smelling the sweet fragrance of a magnolia tree! The scent fills you with warmth and hope for the day!

You begin to rise, placing your hand upon the old antique door knob which juts out from the old wooden hewn door - leading to the heavenly places of God, as He calls you forth; you go… you go…

You journey on with expectancy from Him who leads…

On the amazing journey with you,
Kathryn

ALL THINGS Q! QUOUGHTS- Powerful Questions That Provoke Thought... When was the last time that you were on a hunt for God?

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU WENT ON A "GOD HUNT"? The other question would be, Have you ever been on a "GOD HUNT"?
But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul. Deuteronomy 4:29
I am in the midst of doing a Group Coaching Tele-class Study with a group of women, from all over North America! Two of the women are from New Mexico, four of them are from Toronto, one is from Brampton, one from Edmonton, one from Australia, one from Vancouver and I am from Texas.
The one thing that we all have in common is the fact that we are all Christian women. In this coaching study we are learning from the wonderful book "Character Makeover" co-authored by Katie Brazelton (who is the owner & founder of LPCCI - Life Purpose Coaching Centers International, of which I am a Certifired Life Purpose Coach) and Shelley Leith.
The action step that I took on for this week was: "I will hunt for God." I will go on a daily God Hunt, journaling where I see Him show up in my day; the things I see in nature, the interruptions, the serendipities, the detours, the provisions, the difficulties, the connections with people, and/or the answers to prayer. I will share with at least one person something I saw on my daily God Hunt."
I am really looking forward to this. I feel like I am usually very aware of the way that God is showing up in my daily life. It will be really wonderful, and assuring for me to write it out. I pray that you will take the time to HUNT FOR GOD in your dailiness. Think about the way that He has instructed you, or kept you out of a mess, or revealed something to you in a particular way in which you know without a doubt He is speaking to you. It might be through the still quiet whispers, or the cry of a baby that you see God, or hear Him. It might be through an amazing undeniable Holy Spirit connection, divinely appointed by our Lord.
When was the last time that you were on a "GOD HUNT?" Why don't you try journaling about your experiences of this for a week. Take the time to get your eyes off of yourself, and on His majesty. Begin the praising of Him now and always.
He loves you so...
I'm headed out on my GOD HUNT... I will be reporting on what I have seen!
Expectantly...
Kathryn

ALL THINGS Q - QUESTIONS JESUS ASKED

Jesus asked in Matthew 14:31
"O you of little faith, why did you doubt?"

I am a Life Purpose Coach and I know the power of encouragement and powerful questions. These are just two of the things I do as your life coach, enabling you to awaken to your God-given dreams.
I know that often the fear of the call, or the fear of the BIGNESS of the call from God can keep one from living the fulfilled and meaningful life that God has for you. Many focus completely on the fear of it rather than the exhilaration of doing it.

Let's take a close look at this story of Peter walking on the water. He was the one and only disciple who stepped into the call. The rest of the disciples stayed in the boat, not budging, or getting up, but stayed steeped in their fear.

We all know and love this story of Peter, when he sees Jesus walking on the water toward him and along with all of the other disciples in the boat he is scared! He sort of starts freaking out, thinking he must be seeing a ghost! Naturally Jesus wants to calm Peter's fears, and reassures him of who He is, and tells Peter not to be afraid. Peter needs more proof and says to Jesus, "if it's really you, then command me - call me to come to you on the water." So, Jesus obliges Peter and "calls for him to come."

Peter begins the trek, actually walking on water, just like Jesus! He's doing it, going for it! Then the Scripture tells us that he took his eyes off of Jesus, looking and then focusing in on the fierce winds, becoming very afraid of the storm. The most significant part of this story is that Peter takes his eyes off of Jesus, and that is when Peter began to go down. There is a big question for us to answer for ourselves here, and something for me to point out to you as I believe it effects each of us in our daily living, effects so much of our lives in an adverse way that it bears posing this question to you.

What happens to your God-given dreams when you focus on the fear (take your eyes off of Christ, the one who calls you) rather than the possibilities of faithfully walking with Christ? I really want you to think about what dream it is that you have within yourself for a moment. He places the holy call within you, you know that don't you? Is your calling from the Lord one that you are not facing because of fear around it?

Ponder these questions deeply that Jesus asked Peter, and apply them to yourself:
  1. "Where is your faith?
  2. And why do you doubt?"
Really take a moment to ask yourself these two questions individually, and answer them honestly. Are you ready for a life change? Are you ready for a life coach in your life? I hired a life coach to propel me into the writing of my first book, and I keep a coach in my life. I am now writing books 2 and 3, and my life coach asks me powerful questions, causes me to choose the life God has for me! Think about what you know you are supposed to be doing with your life. Are you standing in your faith, or your doubt (fear)? Check out my two websites: http://www.kathrynbonner.com/ and http://www.awakeningslifecoaching.com/
Ponder these questions, pray about it, maybe it's time you began FAITH WALKING with a life coach. You won't regret it! Live fully into your God-give purpose, be passionate with your life!

What areas of your life (and there may be many) are you not stepping out of the boat because of self doubt or fear? Do you not trust God? If not, why not? He wants you to place your faith in Him, not yourself. Contemplate this, and get to the place where Peter was, ask the Lord to re-connect with you on a deeper level, reach out and grab His hand just as Peter did, allowing Him to be there with you, to pull you along... Live into the amazing possibilities! Why doubt the call He has upon your life, you know He has placed it there and believes in you! He would not have called you to it otherwise.

Here's to faithful living and fulfillment in Christ who calls you!

I am a life coach who loves to see you discover your purpose and live your passion!

ALL THINGS Q!! - Quote For The Day

QUOTE FOR THE DAY...

"Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened."

Dr. Seuss

I love Dr. Seuss!! I think most people love Dr. Seuss too.

What are some of the things you might be missing out on? Where can you be smiling when you haven't been? Let us always take the opportunity when we can and where warranted to "smile because it happened."

I remember at my very first "conversational" book signing at Barnes and Noble Bookstore I was reflecting at the end of it, critiquing myself. I was not completely satisfied with the way I did everything, I didn't speak loud enough, I forgot to talk on something that was indeed part of my heart and wanted the audience to hear and know.

My husband (my wonderful husband) reminded me of how amazing it is to even be a published author, and how astounding it is to even have a book signing! He reminded me to take the time to relish in the moment, to stand in awe of it, to love it, and to give thanks to God for it, because after all, it isn't about me, it's about God! He gave this gift to me. Therefore, I was able to take the mistakes I'd made, learn from them and do things differently the next time. All the while rejoicing in it and "smiling because it even happened!" It is miraculous that I am blessed to be able to do this at all! Had my husband not pointed that out to me I would have missed the amazement of it all, the joy that comes from meeting all of the different people that come to the book signings, and how much each of them enjoyed it, how people were truly touched, it was evident through the tears that were seen streaming down their faces, the laughter shared, the similarities that many of us shared in our life experiences, the beautiful in depth conversations we have! The smiles we all share together. Sharing Christ, the most beautiful part!

So... Let's all make a deal-- let's not be overly critical of ourselves, because when that's the case we miss the grandness of God and His majesty that He blesses us with each day! :) SMILE! SOAK IT IN, BATHE IN IT! :)

Let's embrace the God-given moments in our lives more and more each day. Remember that we "stand in the place of choice" and make the choice to enjoy this INCREDIBLE life!!

So let's take the advice of Dr. Seuss... Smile when you can... I am!!

With Joy,
Kathryn

ALL THINGS Q... - Questions Jesus Asked??

QUESTIONS ASKED BY JESUS
As a life purpose coach I love the powerful question. Every life coach, when they are going through their training learns that as a coach we do not have to nor do we need to answer the questions, but rather ask the questions of the client in order for them to find the answers that seem to allude us. In the search of the answer... somewhat of an inner journey goes on. It can bring you to a place of introspection, make you find out what you know, what you believe, what you want, what you are truly about. When the answer comes bells go off, lights flash, and there is a sense of knowing, new understanding, and clarity! It is lovely.

My girlfriends within my prayer group (whom I get with early Wednesday mornings) know that I have been doing a study of all the questions that Jesus asked. I apply the questions to my own life, and go about answering them. When I say "go about answering them" it doesn't mean that I have the answer right away, it doesn't mean that I have answers every time, it doesn't mean that I am satisfied with my answers when they come; yet there are times when I am more than satisfied, in fact amazed at the answers that come to me. It varies, depending upon the question, and my own personal abilities to comprehend at the time. BUT, I LOVE ALL OF THE QUESTIONS THAT JESUS ASKS!! So... without further ado, let's begin! :)

Jesus asked some of the most powerful questions! Things that make you go hmmmm...

This question He asks: "If you love those who love you, what reward will you get?" Matthew 5:46

Wow! What a great question. It's very easy for us to love those who love us isn't it? There is no challenge for us with that, it's a no brainer, a piece of cake. It doesn't require us to rely on the Lord for anything in that situation. Love, this is the the crux of 1 Corinthians chapter 13 and teaches us all about love. Love is not rude it says in verse 5. How often are we rude to those around us? (I ask myself this question too). Far too often for me. Sadly I hate to admit it. But as we walk closer and closer to Christ this becomes easier and easier, a natural out pouring of the Holy Spirit living within us.

I love it when those I love show love to me, it feels SO good. Love is one of the most wonderful things that God instilled within us, each of us!

In 1st Corinthians it says things like, love is patient, love is kind, love is not rude, it is not jealous, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered... it continues on with a list of things regarding love. When Jesus asked, what reward is there when we love those who love us is such a great reminder of the reward we recieve while loving on the unlovable. Think about the folks who are hard to love in your life. What if you were to start being loving to them? There could be an amazing change that could come over them because of your love being given to them. They may actually need your love a lot more than a person who's easy to love. If we all become more free with our love, the reward would probably be that those who have been difficult to love will probably be truly touched and moved by your love that they begin to have a heart change. Their hearts will more than likely become softer and sweeter because of you! That's the reward! Let us love all those God places in our path even the difficult to love, then, we will begin experiencing true love! What do you think? Can you begin to try it? I am starting today!

After all, LOVE is the greatest of all things! God is love!

Here's to love!

ALL THINGS Q - The Beginning of Q!!

I am going to begin posting on my blog on a regular basis the different topics of "All Things Q!" Originally I thought that I would post something Monday through Friday each day. But I began to think about my life and the reality of that, and Quite honestly that doesn't seem like something I would be able to completely commit to. However, I would like to commit to more blogging more often, which is something I am totally able to commit to. SO... Here's to All Things Q! I'm sure that by now you are wondering "What is "All things Q?"
"All things Q" really does pertain to my life, many aspects of it, and each topic that I will cover will have something to do with the five things Q. I will explain...
The five topics around Q that I will be writing on are the following... (drum roll please:)
  1. QUOUGHTS = POWERFUL QUESTIONS THAT PROVOKE THOUGHT. As most of you know I am a Certified Life Purpose Coach, (http://www.kathrynbonner.com/) so, as a Coach I am always asking my clients some powerful questions in order to get them thinking, to get them to know who they are, what they really want out of their lives, to discover what their purpose is. To AWAKEN those God-given dreams that have been lying dormant within them. Many times when they ask me a question, I respond with a question in order for them to find the answers to their passion, and truth. So there will be days that my posts will cover QUOUGHTS! Be on the look out for "QUOUGHTS FOR THE DAY" you might like to begin pondering. It will be fun and inspirational!
  2. QUESTS = The dictionary defines QUEST as The act or an instance of seeking or pursuing something; a search. An expedition undertaken in medieval romance by a knight in order to perform a prescribed feat: the quest for the Holy Grail. I personally love the adventure of any give QUEST given to us by our LORD - Because it takes FAITH to pursue, it takes strength of character, perseverance, hope and dedication. As a Life Purpose Coach, I myself and most of those that I coach are usually on a QUEST of some sort. Pursuing after the the things ahead of us, with an excitement, and sometimes with fear, but always with anticipation and expectation. Are you on a QUEST to write a book, to become a leader in your field of interest, to begin leading a study group, to begin your own business? The Quests are many when you multiply our lives! What is your QUEST? Let's begin our QUEST of discovery together, you never know what we will discover on the journey of the QUEST!! I look forward to the adventurous journey we will go on together!
  3. QUERIES = As you know I am an author of the new book "Confessions of a Pastor's Wife; He Speaks Can You Hear Him?" Queries are what we authors send out to publishing houses in hopes of receiving a book contract in the mail. A Query is the QUESTION and the HOPE of every writer of becoming an author. So, I will QUERY some things from time to time on the blog. I hope that you authors, or those of you who HOPE to be an author find some joy and hope in this part of your journey.
  4. QUOTES = They are inspirational and motivational remarks that you read, hear speakers say that cause us to make positive change in our lives. So I will be quoting various folks who had something wonderful to say that we simply should not miss out on. Be looking for THE QUOTE OF THE DAY...
  5. QUESTIONS ASKED MY ME, COACH KATHRYN= I will pose some powerful questions to you as I would a client. Questions that hopefully will spur more thoughts, cause you to look deeply within yourself, cause you to draw closer to God, make change in your life where needed. I know that you will deeply enjoy the "QUESTION OF THE DAY" when it comes up! Here's to the questions marks of your life :)
  6. QUESTIONS ASKED BY JESUS = All through out the Gospels Jesus is asking questions. Over the last few years I have been reading through the questions He asked and have been highlighting them in my Bible with a blue highlighter. I will begin the process of writing out the questions Jesus asked and answer them for myself. I LOVE the questions He has asked through out the pages of the WORD. Here are a couple to get you thinking... ** "What are you looking for?" ** "What do you want me to do for you?" ** "What is your opinion about the Messiah? ** "Do you want to be well?" ** "What are you thinking in your hearts?" Remember that I am no theologian, and my intention is not to get too "heady" - that's not my purpose of writing out the Questions that Jesus asked. This is more for you and I to come to a thoughtful, spiritual, meditative place. A place that I Quite frankly need more of. Thoughts that come from our own place of introspection, from our hearts, and the Holy Spirit that lives within each of us, to draw us closer to our Lord, commune with Him, soak in His Word.

I am looking forward to this section of "All things Q" more than any of them. The Questions of Christ will certainly be my most favorite area of "ALL THINGS Q!"

I know that you will enjoy this "Quest of Q" with me... :)

Oh yes... I almost forgot to say it... Happy Leap Year To You!!

Blessings to you,

Kathryn

Rise and Shine!

This is an article that I wrote for the Christian niche of CTI (The Coaches Training Institute). I am on the Christian leadership team, and will continue to write articles from time to time when it is my turn in the rotation. I wrote this for last Monday's post and I thought it would be fun to share with you, giving you a glimpse into the life of coaches. The article that we write comes out each Monday and is appropriately titled "Monday Musings"...

"'Men and women who have lived wisely and well will shine brilliantly, like the cloudless, star-strewn night skies. And those who put others on the right path to life will glow like stars forever.” Daniel 12:3 The Message
It’s Monday! Time to rise and shine! I love this verse from Daniel. Seems perfect for a “coaching motto.” Take a moment and meditate on this passage. We as Christians and as Coaches could pray this passage over our coaching practices (ministries), and live into its principals. Let us shine light into many areas of those we coach. We have a privileged position to be brought into the depths of the lives of our clients where most are not invited. We are able to listen with level three ears, (what I like to call “our Holy Spirit ears”) to what our clients are aspiring to.

Many times as we are coaching a client we find ourselves in awe of some of the things that that they are up to. We discover areas that they have strengths in which they are not fully aware of and then begin to shine the light on this new discovery for them. They may have a song they want to write and record, a new business to open, a team to lead, a book that is dying to be birthed, a dance just wiggling to come out, a painting with such beauty you hear and see the colors radiating through their vocal cords, jewelry designs being strung while watching TV, mission trips to aid the needy. Many times these dreams are just as frightening as they are exhilarating and in many instances they are afraid to share their dreams with anybody for a number of reasons, one because they are extremely personal, secondly, it causes them to step out of their comfort zone, and thirdly, because they are absolutely terrified to attempt it! Yet they hire you because ultimately they are more terrified of not attempting their God-given dreams!

Oh what a holy thing to be a part of their individual and unique journeys! We have such wonderful opportunities this week with our remarkable clients!

Each of us as coaches we too have dreams within us, shine the light on what it is that the Lord God is calling you to this week. Close your eyes, look deep within, agree to live within the stars in your eyes this week. Write down your own dreams, give yourself the opportunity to do an “intake session on yourself”, much like the one you do with your clients. Are you called to forgive, to rejoice, to lead, to support, to write, to dance, to paint, to sing, to coach a new and different niche? Whatever-- Shine It, Write it, Sing it, Dance it, Shape it, Draw it, Record it, String it, Weave it, Dream it… just do it! Do it all for the glory of God!

It’s Monday people! Praise Him for the day; praise Him for your opportunity to be used in the life of your clients.

Make a date with the stars this week, lie under the night sky, experience the brilliance of the stars and of our Lord. When was the last time you actually went outside and laid down and looked heavenward? Probably too long…

Shine brighter, rise higher, radiate with the love of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Rise and Shine!
