Doors and More Doors- Heavenly Doors
As I become more and more obedient to Him, to His direction, the blessings just keep coming my way! I have been so busy these last few months experiencing the many doors he has opened unto me! I have been astounded by His abundance and blessing upon my life. My coaching practice, my writing, my Holy Spirit directed connections, the new women He has placed in my life and all that we are up to together is Huge!
He has so much to bestow unto those of us who seek Him and seek His will. What perspective do you take as you begin to view the Heavenly Doors? Have you ever really thought about doors and passageways as heavenly? Do you choose to stay in the room with your ears plugged and the doors shut tightly all around you in order not to venture out? Does that idea feel safer to you so that you do not have to take any risks? What would it be like for you if you were to view the word risk and shift the perspective of it? Shift the viewpoint of risk to faith, faithfully seeing a door as a heavenly opening? What doors are you keeping tightly shut that you know you should to be opening? What might be on the other side of the door should you open it?
I love the second part of this passage as we are instructed to watch daily at His doors. Not just every now and then, or once a month when we think about it, but every single day we are to be watching daily at HIS doors, waiting for Him to bless us! The thought of this is beautiful to me as I begin to become more and more aware of the doors that He is guiding me to walk through each and every day!
Picture the glow peeking through, radiating from underneath the door, beckoning you to come… to draw closer closer to the door. Laying on your tummy with your face up close to the door, you begin to peer through the opening seeing the lights luminosity and your nostrils take in the smells of fresh air, smelling the sweet fragrance of a magnolia tree! The scent fills you with warmth and hope for the day!
You begin to rise, placing your hand upon the old antique door knob which juts out from the old wooden hewn door - leading to the heavenly places of God, as He calls you forth; you go… you go…
On the amazing journey with you,
Kathryn
What are the God-given doorways in your life?
“BLESSED IS THE MAN WHO LISTENS TO ME, WATCHING DAILY AT MY DOORS, WAITING AT MY DOORWAY.”
Proverbs 8:34
Have you ever given much thought to the doors that the Lord might be opening in your life? Especially when you wait on Him to call you, then as you truly listen to Him and proceed to take the courage to actually obey what He asks of you? Then the LORD God Himself actually escorts you as you take the steps! If you commence to walking with Him you will be astonished with the incredible journey He will take you on! For me it has been truly grand!
As I become more and more obedient to Him, to His direction, the blessings just keep coming my way! I have been so busy these last few months experiencing the many doors he has opened unto me! I have been astounded by His abundance and blessing upon my life. In the verse above you see that as you listen to the calling of the LORD you will be blessed! I am so amazed at the way He calls us forth to do His work! Until the end of time we must be listening to Him, listening to His voice, His Words of wisdom, His Words of direction, His Words of love. His true desire is to bless us, not to cause us to fear Him or His calling on our lives.

And blessed is the woman… Am I listening at the door? Am I watching and waiting daily to see what shards of Light might shine in? Or am I just opening the door & letting the cat out… closing it without breathing in the autumn air…
Doors open and they close. They are barriers. When closed, they keep the light out. They keep the cold out in winter and the heat out in summer. They lock. I lock myself in or out. I usually lock myself in. I appoint the doors to stand in their solidarity to protect me from whatever may be on the other side—beauty or ruin, sunshine or rain, noise or peace and quiet. Success or failure. Change. Someone might notice me, and what judgment will I then have to carry on my way, or drag back home…down the craggy road, up the paved drive, around the flowery sidewalk, and over the steps before I close the door behind me?
Doors creak and when opened, they let the Light in. They let in the cold. Open, they make us vulnerable to strangers and strange winds. Winds that carry complications and sadnesses… voices that berate and voices that praise.
They are gateways. A door is a means of going out. An exit. An egress. A right or permission to leave where you once stood, or laid upon your belly, peering out. To emerge. To surface from the deep, to materialize, to fade in from the dark, to manifest, be make oneself known.
In thinking about doors, from where I sit typing on the couch, looking out over my toes, I could have chosen to think of the French door that opens to the backyard, or the front door, that opens out to the world. I thought of the front door. Not because I prefer it, but because that is where God is calling me. Out. Out There. Only so much can be accomplished from In Here, and there is much to be done. But that work will continue, and much of it will be led by what I do and see and breathe in when I open the front door and walk out into His Kingdom. What wonderful plans does He have for me Out There? I’ll never know unless I put on my red shoes and go.
God is so good, so gracious, so gentle and so generous. I'm in week 9 of the Beth Moore Bible Study, "Breaking Free". God has revealed to me a powerful stronghold in my life -- my job!
There has been a Holy discontent in my life for quite some time. He is so good and gentle because He has shown me over time that source of the Holy discontent through studying His Word. Looking back it's been like a treasure hunt where one revelation leads to another and I'm finding clues to lead me to the treasure, freedom in Christ. He provided recognition that I have not been enjoying the life that God has intended for each of His children. Bondage, which is related to my job, is one of the obstacles to freedom. Bondage is partly from not surrendering authority of my job to Him. Thoughts about my job and believing the lies Satan has told me has been a stronghold that has been holding me captive. It has also been a sin. Confessing this stronghold as a sin and believing God's power to overcome it has helped me stand with God.
God is so gracious and generous. One of the reasons I have put up with job dissatisfaction for so long was my boss who provided help when I needed it and guidance as I dealt with a co-worker in another department. Looking back, my boss was God's way of helping when I felt overwhelmed. God wanted me to rely on Him alone so He has moved my boss to another role and He has provided for a slow transition.
Last week, coming home from Bible study, I confessed all I had been withholding from God. I asked Him to help me do better in these areas and cried out for Him to deliver me from my Holy discontent. The next day I was "thrown under the bus" again by this co-worker in another department and spent the majority of the day providing evidence of the work and steps taken to drive a project to completion. Later that day, God graciously opened a door by providing a way to voluntarily leave my job with a generous severance package. When I heard about this, I recognized it as an answer to my prayer.
Of course, Satan has been filling me with doubts about this open door. This morning as I was doing my Bible study, God showed me that He has provided this open door to free me from captivity. He is so good! EP

What an AMAZING blessing from God - for Him "to have literally shown you that He has provided this open door to free you from captivity!!!!" You are free...
Praising Him on your behalf EP!!
Love you,

Awesome Word from the Lord! I'm asking Him about doors that are opening to me (and again asking Him if I'm supposed to change churches...).
Also, I saw this Word from the Lord through Kim Clement yesterday that confirms the Word that you received around the same time. And, as I was reading yours and Kim's, I remembered that I had gotten Isa. 22:22 this weekend - I just love the way He does things!!! This is WAY cool!

Thank you for sharing the Word from the Lord with all of us! Love you!!! You're an AWESOME Woman of God, and I'm so blessed to have you in my life!!! Thank you for the blessing of YOU!
Shannon
Shannon,
Thank you for your love for our LORD! Keep listening for His voice to direct you and He will reveal what your are to do... He loves to reveal! Keep watching and waiting at His door... He will be, He IS your escort!!
Love you,
Kathryn
It is as if you always know exactly what I need(or perhaps many) to hear, exactly when I need to hear it. I know God has angels who come into our lives to help us find our own wings. I believe you are that angel. Thank you, for this message! It is exactly what I needed to muster up the courage to open the door. I will close my eyes and feel Him escorting me as I open the door on my journey! Amazing! Thank you my Dear Kathryn!
Dear Anonymous,
I am blessed to read your comment on my post. Thank you for being the angel to visit me today! Yes taking the leaps of faith to open the doors is scary and exhilarating all at the very same time!
I am lifting you up at this very moment to the Lord as you grab hold of the door with hands of faith, courage and praise!
Standing faithfully with you as you journey through each and every door He presents to you!
Listening, watching and waiting expectantly,
Kathryn
I find I am very aware of the doors the Lord is closing in my life but I fail to notice the ones He is opening. Out of fear I choose to hybernate and hide...if I don't see the door the Lord is opening, I don't have to walk through. I can be safe and secure in my comfortable cave hybernating for the winter. I am tired of hiding, tired of hybernating and avoiding what the Lord has for me. I am choosing to look for the door with the light radiating through the cracks; to approach it, turn the knob and open wide the door the Lord is calling me to and walking through in faith.
