We are created in the image of God. What are you creating in your very own life, feeling, emotion and positive and negative effect. We will notice how God is Speaking Out Words and then seeing how He is manifesting, creating things into being!
*Notice that the Holy Spirit was present with God, because when God say Let us create man in OUR image. What does OUR Image mean? That means that God is not alone, He has with Him at all times the Holy Spirit! We have the Holy Spirit living and dwelling within us! Speak out Belief, Speak out the Possibilities!

Sandcastles and Funnel Cakes!

Psalm 78:1-4 (Message) "Listen, dear friends, to God’s truth, bend your ears to what I tell you. I am chewing on the morsel of a proverb. I’ll let you in on the sweet old truths, stories we heard from our fathers, counsel we learned at our mother’s knee. We are not keeping this to ourselves, we are passing it along to the next generation-God’s fame and fortune, the marvelous things he has done!!!?"

Legacies, what a beautiful word! Gifts we pass to our children, and to the coming generations! The funny thing about legacies is that we are living them every day; we just don’t leave them behind the end of our lives. Legacies come in very small packages and memories as well as very large ones. Sometimes the smallest things we do and say leave the most lasting impact in the lives of our children and grandchildren don’t they? Sometimes it is not even in what is said or done, but in what we don’t say or don’t do.

Last summer we took a family vacation to the shore, it was truly one of wonder and joy!

One of our favorite memories was sitting on the beach building sand castles! What a joy to sit with my grandkids, hear the song of the sea gulls and feel the breezes blowing on our faces! As we dug and built our castle what joy to find the treasures of sand crabs! What delight to hear the laughter and squeals of sheer joy as we chased them into our buckets! As this perfect day came to a close and we were packing for home I looked back to see the tide wash our beautiful castle out to the magical sea. I was reminded how quickly things change and how fast the kids grow up; it really is in just a blink! We have today; let’s make it count with memories of joy and wonder!

Oh, yes the funnel cake; where does that come in? Well in our family all good memories require some kind of snacking!! We went and walked on the Boardwalk and could NOT resist the aroma of this wonderful delicacy! We all shared a giant funnel cake to make the most perfect day even more perfect!! The grandkids still talk about that day, we have beautiful pictures and a legacy was built along with the royal castle!

Summer is a magical time for children and families with time off from school, no homework and vacations! Lets be legacy builders this summer, purpose each day to create a fun, lasting memory - it can be as small as making sugar cookies together!! God gave us our five senses; let’s use them all in creative ways to bring beautiful legacies to our home! I still hear the laughter and smell the funnel cake!!!

God has had me on this amazing journey! As I begin my brand new Radio Show here in Austin, Texas on KLGO – The Word – 99.3 / 98.5 FM each day Monday – Friday at 2:30pm Central Time. Also streaming live http://www.klgo.net/

God has had me exploring Him in so many new and amazing ways, ways that cause me to stand in awe of His majesty, His ability, His love, His extravagance pouring out and over me, all of us! He causes me to want to explore more and more of who He is, how He creates, how he prepares the way, how He opens and closes doors just so that I can see Him as The Almighty One. How I love our Lord, our Great Mountain Moving God! I am exploring His Word, so sacred and holy. Through the Scriptures I am exploring variations of the word “ROOT.” Such an amazing study He is blessing me with.

This morning’s study came from the verses 2 Timothy 1:12-14 “This message I have been set apart to proclaim as preacher, emissary and teacher. It is also the cause of all this trouble I am in. But I have no regrets. I couldn’t be more sure of my ground – the One I’ve trusted in can take care of what He’s trusted me to do right to The End. So keep at your work, this faith and love, ROOTED in Christ, exactly as I set it out for you. It’s as sound as they day you first heard it from me. Guard this precious thing placed in your custody by the Holy Spirit who works in us.”

How beautiful that He had me read this verse today, the day before my show “Come Spiritwalking with Kathryn Bonner” (that’s what we’ve named the show) He has this amazing verse for me! The title of my show reveals that My God is first, He and I are united – we go together – I never want to leave Him out. The verse above reveals five treasures for me:

1. His Spirit leads me.
2. He blesses me as I step out, way out of my comfort zone, to proclaim who He is, to know that there will be places where I am wondering what it the world am I doing?
3. To trust Him to take care of it.
4. I am rooted in Him.
5. To guard this precious ministry with absolute love and devotion to Him.

I pray you join me on this new journey in my life. I ask for your prayers as I explore and become more and more ignited in His calling upon my life and let us transform into His likeness more and more each day! I See You. I see your hurts, and praise the way you never took your pain out on anyone else because you would never ever want anyone to experience the same kind of pain you have.

I See You, the woman of love that you are, always there to help another in need, clothing someone when they are limited, feeding others when they are hungry, listening to the story of others who have broken hearts, praying for so many in need. You are the protector and defender of many.

I See You. I see you longing to emerge from the safety of your cocoon… I see you starting to poke your head out, looking around for your beauty, wondering if your beautiful butterfly wings will take you to new creative and sacred spaces.

I See You Emerging! You have learned much, grown in wisdom, and you have a powerful and spiritual story. Your life matters. Your wisdom, joy and light are coming to life!

So what is a muse?

A muse is something that we all hear about, and so many strange connotations arise in our minds when we think of a muse. Some of the amusing definitions I’ve heard are “mermaid-like creatures who whisper words and music into the listening ears of reclining Greek men” and “those glowing crystals in Arizona that are supposed to deepen your insight.” The most popular definition of a muse is “a goddess who inspires a creative artist, especially a painter, writer or a poet.”

Now as Christian writers, we know who our true Muse is, don’t we?

Our Muse is the amazing and powerful Holy Spirit who lives and dwells within each of us. As we all journey and deepen our relationship with our Creator, we surrender to the flow of the Spirit.

In doing so, we can be certain that amazing surprises will show up in our writing. Be open to them because God is going do new things in you on a continual basis and you won’t want to miss any of it! Oh, my Sacred Circle Sister, I don’t want you to miss any of His Holy Spirit whispers! Your beautiful inner butterfly scribe begins to materialize and sprout wings as you grow with God! I am one lucky person. One night I was cruising through my facebook page and I saw where Kathryn Bonner was going to teach a writing class. The thing that intrigued me most was the fact that I could take this writing class right in my own office with my pajamas on. Glory be!! Talk about fate dropping in my lap. I loved the class. I have a few powerful questions for you that I really want you to answer… so first, I’m going to have you read the questions OUT LOUD, this way you will really take a moment to ask yourself these questions… ready… OUT LOUD -- When was the last time you decided to do something a bit out of the bounds of your comfort zone? When was the last time you decided to follow your heart and explore your writing? - Good job!! OK, now what are the answers? Take a moment and answer, try taking a sheep of paper real quick and journal the questions and then the answers…

What came up for you? I want to encourage you to join your WPPI sisters (Women of Passionate Purpose Intl.) on a pledge to no longer live your life with your eyes shut, your heart shut to your creativity. When was the last time you allowed yourself to express yourself through the creative writing process and feel the exhilarating joy of it?

Wow!! We have had such an amazing time with our Online Tele-Course “IGNITE THE WRITER WITHIN!” Every woman who has taken this course has been changed! All of them had said how much the course has impacted them! Dismissing Your gremlin (with a lower-case g!)

If you’re a writer or an artist, you’re probably also have a “gremlin,” a voice, either loud or hushed, who keeps you from doing what God has called you to do. Every creative soul I know has one! If yours is a talker, the good news is that you can duct tape his mouth. If yours is the quiet, insidious kind, you can kick him out of your space because your God is a Mighty Awesome God! Our gremlins show up in all kinds of interesting shapes. Here are a few you might recognize:

* Procrastination. I’ll organize my kid’s sock drawer if a deadline is looming! Get a great book like The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron and pick a short exercise. Put it on your calendar and ask a friend to hold you accountable.

* Feeling Blank. Believing that you don’t have anything interesting to express is simply not true. You DO have something valid to share.

* Overwhelm. If you think you’ve got too much on your plate, you probably do. Consider letting go of some things, and placing your art higher up on your list.

* Plain Jane Lies. We’re human so we know that negative thoughts enter our minds. Among other things, I often hear, “That paragraph is no good.” “No one will want to read that nonsense?” Ask God to help you recognize negative thought patterns and for every frankly rude comment, write two or more nice things to yourself. “That’s wonderful work!” “Great job of showing up at the page today!”

As Christian women, we need to invite God into our work. With Him, all things are possible! If, as you’re writing, your gremlin sneaks out of the closet, you can choose to simply take notice and dismiss him. I like to say, “Hello. You are not needed here today. Don’t make me get the duct tape. Good-bye!” Focus on the beauty and blessings God has laid before you in the moment, and watch your creativity come out to play!

Find out what you want and go after it as if your life depends on it. Why? Because it does! ~ Les Brown

We know that we should quit doing the things that cause us to procrastinate, or keep us from doing the things that really matter, but when you when you give up on your dreams and passions you really are giving up on your life, giving up on yourself. There comes a time in your life when you need to stop dreaming about who you want to be and start becoming that person! We want to help you do just that!! It’s really exhilarating too! I am going to ask you to do something right now, no matter where you are, even if people are around you and will think you are a bit nuts, I want you to do it anyway! OK, you ready? I want you to say it out loud with enthusiasm “I am going to start living and being the person I know I am supposed to be! I am no longer going to let my God-given dreams fall by the wayside!!” And say this out loud too… “I am a Spiritwalker! I am fueled and ignited by the power of the Holy Spirit that lives and dwells within me!”

Here’s the question… Have you had your dream of writing your first book, or another book circling around in your head for a long time that it seems as if it may have just circled right out of you? Well, now is your chance to circle back around and remember the dream! Take a moment right now to remember the dream, blow the dust off of it, let is start to shine once more, let it begin to take new life, let it become ignited within you again! Now is the perfect time to commit to living your life with passion and purpose!

“…a Great Door for effective work has been opened to me, but there are many who oppose.” 1 Corinthians 16:9

There are two parts to this piece of Scripture and they sort of oppose each other… just take a look at what is here… If God has given you ideas for your writing, this is a GREAT DOOR for you to step through! This is no small miniscule door here; it’s a GREAT DOOR with which you will have EFFECTIVE WORK to do!

Think about work that is effective – that is work that is useful, valuable, beneficial to others, this is what you are born for! Step through your God-given door to write!

Now let’s look at the second part of this verse. What is your opposition? Is it yourself, your own negative self-talk that has been keeping you from committing? Are you listening to pessimistic people?

You know, there are people around you that don’t like to see others live out their dreams, sad but true. These people are peppered all through the Scriptures and all through your life.

People who don’t run after their dreams with passion are prone to discourage and criticize people who are. Don’t let them or any other kind of opposition stop you from stepping through the GREAT DOOR FOR EFFECTIVE WORK that God has opened to YOU!

Creating the Perfect Sacred Space

Do you have a sacred space where the stirrings of your soul can move through you onto the page? Our sacred writing spaces are like little homes to our inner writers, sanctuaries for our souls. Their whispers dance within us and swirl around us like angels as we pen the stories that God wants us to tell. Your writing space can be majestic and towering, like a gorgeous guest house in the hill country, or simple and basic, like a porch swing in your back yard… a corner chair next to books and soft light, or a bean bag near a window where you can hear birds singing. You can turn your home office into your sacred writing space by de-cluttering and organizing, adding a beautiful plant or cross, a painting that inspires you, a picture of you with your favorite people. What makes your heart sing? What opens your soul to create a direct connection to the Great Author?

Take a few moments to follow God’s direction: “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10). In your quiet time with your loving Creator, ask Him how to set up your sacred space to best create for His glory!

MEETING YOUR SACRED MUSE
In order for us to be able to hear, be guided and directed by our “Holy Spirit Muse,” we must MEET with Him on a continual basis. This is first and foremost to your writing. We are going to develop Four Sacred Actions that will transform you as a writer. These practices will not only transform you as a writer but as a Spiritual being.
OVERCOMING THE FEAR OF WRITING
An empty notepad is anxiously awaiting your creative genius as you hold your favorite pen in hand. Suddenly you become frozen in time and can’t seem to move that pen to paper. You’re bombarded with negative, fearful, doubting thoughts that came out of nowhere as a blank expression covers your face. If this scenario describes some of your experiences, then take comfort. You are not alone. This fear of the blank page is fairly common among writers. We will share 3 ideas with you that will help you overcome your fear of the blank page and empower you to move forward in your writing.
DEVELOPING A WRITING PRACTICE YOU CAN'T WAIT TO DO
So what are the ACTION STEPS you can take? What will cause you to ‘chomp at the bit’ to get to your writing? We are going to develop some practices that will serve you very well in your writing. We will discuss 3 important practices to developing your writing.
HOW TO OVERCOME PROCRASTINATION
No one likes to be accused of procrastination. In fact, we might vigorously defend ourselves listing all our multiple duties and responsibilities. But in most situations—it simply boils down to the unpopular act of procrastinating. In this section, we will discuss 10 tips to overcome procrastination.

It is through this class that you will begin to really see your writing project take shape. Exciting! We will be discussing everything from different formats of writing to mapping out your writing schedule to solidifying your subject. IGNITE YOUR FORMAT
There are many different writing formats, so you don’t have to be intimidated by a daunting task of writing a 500 page novel! We will look at several different formats, how to choose a format, and where you should start.

ORGANIZE YOUR BRAINSTORM
You have been brainstorming over the last couple weeks about your writing project. Now it’s time to give some organization to all of those awesome ideas! Up until now, anything and everything that came to your mind surrounding your writing project should have found its way onto paper. We will help you organize those thoughts in a way that brings clarity to your vision.

IGNITE YOUR SUBJECT
Now that you have some organization to your brainstorming, it is time to clarify your subject. The subject of a book is what the book is about. The subject is your purpose for writing. When choosing your subject, choose something you are passionate about! It will be much easier to see your project through to completion if you look forward to your writing time each day! We will help you think about ways you can make your subject slightly different from everything else out there.

RELEASE THE BLOCK
Have you ever reached that brick wall where inspiration & creativity for writing comes to a grinding halt? Every writer at some point will be hit by Writer’s Block. It can be caused by a variety of things: distractions, fear, life circumstances & just plain ole' procrastination. In this section of the the course, we are going to give you some “MacGyverisms”, for those of you familiar with the 80's TV series “MacGyver,” to help you propel over the wall of writer's block.

WRITING CALENDAR
In order to ever become a productive writer, you must set aside time to write. Don't compromise on this. Put it in your daily or weekly schedule just as you would anything else. You can set aside 15 minutes per day to write or set aside a few days per week. We have included a sample calendar that you can use. Remember the saying, “Practice makes permanent!”

DANCE THE TANGO A LA PEN! (Creativity Galore!)
Raid the kids art supplies!!! Gift yourself new pens as reward for taking this class and moving into your God given dreams and passions! That fancy pen with the plume that you have been eyeing, go get it!! Then put on that pair of shoes you love to dance in. Inspire yourself to move into your writing joys. Once you start it’s like a Tango, your feet won’t stop moving!
STRETCH AND REACH YOGO DANCE
We want to equip each of you with the practical aspects of the different “techniques” as well as the discipline of finding your inner sanctuary of quiet to hear and write from your heart. Without the techniques you have no direction and without the quiet you will have no inspiration, just dry bones! It is a workout but the results are amazing!
GRAB A PARTNER (Writer's Community)
We all know how important community is, we are created to need each other and not be a lonely island! This truth is very true in the writer’s world as well, WE NEED EACH OTHER! We need to encourage, accountability and just plain fun and this is really what the definition of a writer’s group is! In this section we are going to give you the nuts and bolts of how to begin one and how to keep it vibrant and fun. We are praying that you will begin relationships that will last a lifetime through this very easy and practical discipline and you find the dance of a lifetime!
This course will also include a downloadable PDF along with writing exercises and places for reflections.

SECTION 4: STOKE IT!

Stoke means to stir up and feed (a fire or furnace); To feed fuel to and tend the fire of (a furnace). You will hear the saying, “stoking the flame” or “stoking the fire” throughout this class. That is what we plan to help you do with your writing dreams. The topic of my focus for this section is “Stir Up the Flame.” I want you to leave here stirred up to fan your writing ideas into flame in order to come ablaze!!

Join us as we cultivate your writer's identity, keeping God in your writing, discovering a sense of your identity, remembering a sense of your identity.
KINDLING THE FIRE
You are going to be stoked by the end of this class! We will be talking about those Desolate Places you will find yourself, and Help You Stir Up Flame, in order to Kindle the Fire In Your Writing. The student will overcome the obstacles in their writing life and have a sense of joy as they discover more ease in writing. As a result they will become more confident, inspired, and ignited writers.
FANNING THE FLAME (Saying No to Naysayers)
This section of the course you will learn how to say no to naysayers, look at advice from author, Julia Cameron- The Artist Way and ideas to use book: Book Study.
KEEPING THE FIRE ABLAZE
There are times that you will show up to write and you are not in the mood or your fire has died. That does happen. What do you do? You can’t wait for writing to show up if you want to become successful at writing. Our goal is to persevere - keep going - even in the face of opposition or discouragement. The student will develop ways to have a steadfast, enduring spirit to remain stoked.

Dare to Dream Again

Dreams are passions in disguise; take a minute to ponder this idea. If you set goals every year how many times have those goals come from your dreams and passions? More than likely the majority of them are God-given dreams! How exciting this is, and sometimes your dreams and passions can actually be wonderfully scary!

Our dreams stir within our souls, they are calling out for action.

If you focus on the scary part of your dreams, you will find yourself struggling with your dreams and could actually talk yourself out of them. I want to encourage you to embrace your dreams, to Dare to Dream! Mike Jones’ quote that says “A mind focused on doubt and fear cannot focus on the journey of victory.” This fits perfectly here because it’s possible you have doubt or fear, therefore you’re struggling with your dreams.

Check out these tips to facilitate you in overcoming the doubt and negative self-talk that rolls around in your head. This will help you dream again.

1. Speak out loud that you believe in yourself when it comes to your dreams.

2. Embrace your “God-confidence!

3. Push your fears. Discover what your fears are and begin intentionally working through them. It’s possible your fears could be from lack of knowledge or the fear of failure. You need to remember that failure is not the end of the world. It’s also not the end of your dream. Find a way to overcome the fear and you’ll have success.

4. Keep Dreaming! Realizing that dreams are nothing to be afraid of, rather they are to be embraced in order to become a reality in your life by taking each faith filled step toward them!

If you dare to dream, make it happen in whatever way you can. Dreams are meant to be fun and exciting, and we recognize that they can be scary; however, they are never impossible to reach.

Another great tip for you when you begin feeling the fear and overwhelm of your dream, try breaking your dream down into smaller dreams or steps, without rushing it. It will come to fruition when you work it and don’t stress through the process!

Facing Your Fears!

Fears are something that can scare you away from doing something you’ve always dreamed of doing. You can set out to achieve a goal and then something may happen and your dream can go down the drain within minutes.

When this happens you have two options to consider. One is to let the dream go away and the other is to overcome the fear and set out again to achieve your goal. I found a quote that fits perfectly with the second option.

“Decide that you want it more than you are afraid of it” ~Bill Cosby

In my opinion Bill Cosby really had something when he said that. Why let fear get the best of you. Does fear really ever hurt? I’m sure if you think about it long enough you would figure how a way that fear could hurt, but more than likely your answer will be no.

Fear is a feeling and nothing more than that so it’s likely that after you think about what you’re going through and you decide what actions you will take to overcome it you’ll be able to achieve your dreams and goals.

One way is to find a coach, a friend or a family member to encourage you to move past your fears. Someone you can trust as well as be honest and willing to push you along to overcome those blocks that keep you stuck in fear. With this person together you journey to face your fears and achieve those beautiful dreams that are currently waiting to become a reality!.

I believe the best way is to hire a coach. Your coach will rally round your Big Dreams and work through those fears as well as develop an amazing and doable plan of action, causing you to become what I call a FAITH WALKER. Keeping you from being a FEAR WALKER! Pointing out choices, and your strengths and reminding you of all those that will benefit from your beautiful dream. Showing you how easily you can live out your destiny Sometimes along the journey of pushing past those fears, you begin to struggle because the fear shows up again and that is a point on the journey where you get with your coach and work through the process again.

The best way to face your fears is to acknowledge the fear and everything about it. Notice what causes the fear to raise its ugly head and then you can combat it next time before hand! You can learn techniques to overcome the “false fears” and decide your goal is more important than the fear. No matter what you need to do, face your fear and Live Your Dream!

Are Your Passions Gathering Dust?

A passion is something you feel very strongly about and it’s something you may feel the need to share with others. This can be a business or something else you feel the need to share. For example, you can share your faith with others or you can share your love of music. No matter what it is, you don’t want to let that passion gather dust.

When you allow this to happen you won’t give yourself a chance to reach success and help others. When this happens you’re allowing your fears to get the best of you – NOT what you want to happen, and NOT the habits you want to create for you life.

LET’S BLOW THE DUST OFF!! Take two minutes, really quickly right here, right now, and answer this question – What passion has a pile of dust gathered all over it? Write it in this blank… ________________________________________________________________

It’s decision time! What do you think you need to do to stop your passions from gathering dust? The first thing to do is find your motivation… lose the dust! Your motivation may be God or your family; no matter what it is just find it and hang on to it and don’t let it slip away. Write it down and keep it in front of you at all times.

Once you have the motivation your passion begins to live again! Then create the steps necessary so you know what you need to do to reach success.

Then set goals for your passion. No matter what your passion is, goals are something you must set. .

Once you have your goals in place you need to take the time to decide what you need to do each day, week, and month to accomplish those goals. It’s imperative that you set your goals this way so you know what you’ll need to do at all times to attain success. When you have these in place it will be easier for you to accomplish what you set out to do and prevent the dust from collecting on your passion!!

When you attain success it’s important to CELEBRATE in some fashion to reward yourself. You have just accomplished something huge and you need to recognize that YOU MADE IT! When you do this you’ll be excited to continue on and that’s exactly what you need. If you don’t celebrate you’ll feel like you’re not doing any good and that can cause you to give up and allow your passions to gather dust again.

Your passion is your dream and it’s something you feel very strongly about in one way or the other. When you do nothing with that passion it begins to collect dust. That’s not what you need or want so it’s best to use these tips to find a way to BLOW THE DUST OFF OF YOUR AMAZING DREAMS and get back on the path of your passion! You can do it!

I'm a Grandma!

I became a grandmother in September of last year, and my grandson Brody has entered into the world… I am woman who is still young as far as the age of a typical grandma is and am not of the retirement age. That makes it hard to be available… My heart aches to be able to be around him more, and at the same time my heart leaps with joy as I watch in amazement the incredible parents my daughter Kellie Ann and her husband Chase are!

I truly do stand in awe at the beauty of it all. I am blessed and I know it. I am soon to become a grandparent again with our daughter Tabby and her husband Gerald, they have been on quite a journey, they have been ready to be parents for many years, and God has then on the path of adoption! They have just been approved by the adoption agency, by going through all of the classes, home inspections and all of the many things they must do before they can become parents!

SO… it’s just a matter of time before we meet our next beautiful member of the family! With this adoption, Gerald and Tabby have left the gender, the race(s) the placement decision all up to God and we are excited to see who God chooses for them! I can hardly wait!! So fun!! Join us in prayers for this new child, join us in prayers for the birthmother as well, we know she must be frightened and we also know she will be choosing the parents and none of this will be easy for her either.

I pray that God reaches down into her heart and grants her His love and His peace as she makes her decision. I pray that the rest of her life she will feel the closeness of God… I will keep you posted on this as we progress and meet our newest grandchild!

LISTEN - God hears the cries of our blood...

"The LORD said, "What have you done? Listen! Your brother's blood cries out to me from the ground." Genesis 4:10

If this is your first time visiting my blog, let me share with you that many times I do my own studies as God directs me... He will drop a single word into my Spirit and I will then begin to do a study of the Scriptures revolving around that one word.

For this season of Lent, He has given me the word LISTEN. I will be posting some of my personal studies here. Many will remain in my personal journal, others I will post here...

Thank you for walking this Lenten journey with me, my prayers rising for you now...

In the passage above I find something beautiful in this Scripture, in my prior readings of it I only saw the heinous crime Cain committed against his brother Abel. I know that sounds strange to be able to find something beautiful in the midst of something so awful, but I have.

I searched in commentaries around this verse and strangely the beauty that I have discovered in this verse seems to be pretty much skipped over... Hard to believe that what is so profound here seems to go unnoticed, well maybe not, since I seem to have skipped over it many many times before myself. My view on this verse has been "pointed to the word LISTEN" this time, so this is what has actually caused me to see this after missing it so many times before.

Yes, we know that Cain has killed his brother, we know about how awful his temper and jealousy is. How we should never allow our rage to become so uncontrollable that we commit crimes against our fellow human beings. These are the things I've always gleaned from this in the past.

However, with this new perspective, what is being revealed to me is that when there are crimes committed our blood literally cries out to God! Our blood cries? Wow! Not only does our blood cry out to God, but God hears the cries!

I have never lost anyone to a crime; however my mother has been a victim to a heinous crime. She lived to tell about it and report it. Now, I cannot help but recognize the beauty, that when someone has been injured, harmed, or taken out of this life, our Lord HEARS the cries of the blood! Not only that, but He speaks to the criminal. He asks them what they have done and they too hear God speaking to them! They dialog with the God of the universe regarding what they have done. God of course already knows. God knows! God also provides consequences to their actions.

I know that our God is just and righteous in all of His decisions. Cain is removed from paradise, removed from the glorious place in which he was able to truly enjoy the land the beauty and all that God had provided. I can trust that He is handling everything. I can trust knowing that He knows all, sees all, and deals justly with all.

The voice of Abel came flooding into God's ears! AND, God did not ignore his cries. God hears the cries of blood, the cries of those who are no longer with us here physically, we can find a holy comfort in this. Just knowing that He hears the cries makes comforts me. Somehow, I know that the victim's families can find peace in His hearing also.

Let us take comfort and remember that our God listens and hears.

What is the cry of your heart today? What is it that you need Him to hear? Speak it to Him... let your voice be heard, He cares about you.

LORD, how I love you, how I love your WORD!

Thank you so much for Your instruction, which is beautiful. You say to "shut the door." This is sacred - good and holy, keeping all of the distractions away, uniting us - closer - deeper - granting wisdom and understanding, along with guidance and then peace.

Just what I need, what I yearn for - a closeness with You, your people - with me. I am blessed by Your love for me, Your desire is woven into me by Your creative hand, to be close - so close that there are no gaps - no room for wedges.

This is the place - the "closed door place" where I come to You, sometimes crawling on my hands and knees in desperation - thirsty and parched in great need, great pain - even great fears - with worry and needing Your wisdom, direction, comfort and peace that only You can provide.

Oh Lord Thank You for hearing me!

Other times I come for prayer for the many needs of others, beseeching You to hear me for the sake of their needs and You listen - I trust. I trust. I trust.

You are my King, you are faithful and You are The Almighty.

Other times I come to glorify You, to praise you for who You are, for the miracles done in the lives of other and in my own life. To sing praises for my dear husband and my daughters and my sons-in-law, for my grandson! for You allowing me to speak to Your people about you!

Thank you my LORD,

I thank you that you invite me to come to you and shut the doors to the outside world and open your heavenly doors, granting me the ability to enter into Your throne room!

Though your physical presence is "unseen" I still see You!

I see you in others working miracles, I see you in Your creation of the earth! I see You in all of your people, in all of the various flowers and trees and butterfly's and moths and insects and animals and sunsets and sunrises - in the clouds - in the smiles, in the eyes of humans - in the eyes of cats and dogs...

I see you God - I love what I see.

But there is so much more - I FEEL YOU, your presence, I experience you. I feel your love -

I experience your heart, your joy, your laughter, as well as your pain. Though I am aware that all of your emotions must run much wider and deeper than mine - for if I "felt" all that you felt I surely could not comprehend - nor handle it all...

You are my God & King!

Your word in verse 6 says "you see what is done in 'the secret place'" - thank you for seeing - thank you for allowing me to come to the "secret place."

And if that's not enough, You are a God who loves to reward us - especially when we grow closer to you - that in and of itself is a reward. I treasure this sacred gift of yours - given straight from your heart to mine.

Let me be one who always longs to come and shut the door to the world and open the heavenly doors in which You stand at - waiting for me to enter.

Oh the majestic visions in my mind - you reveal so much to me! Your places of holiness are unmatched. I think about people living in chaos - opening all the wrong doors - trying to gain some semblance of satisfaction - but they fail to open the door to Your "Secret Place" - the place of prayer, where they find you and find answers.

If the world would just Open the Doors of thier Bibles, they would find YOU! AND in You is all they long for... and them some! Oh LORD, I pray for all those that are seeking and searching... I pray that they stop opening the doors to excess and open the doors to moderation, closing the doors to addictions... and open the doors to peace, to settle down, be still and find your love. Stop opening the doors to "Keeping up with the Jones'es" slow down - pray - go to THE SECRET PLACE. This is the REAL SECRET! The Secret to finding all that they look for and long for, it's the place where there is freedom, the SECRET PLACE of abundance, overflow and rewards!

O LORD, that is the answer, that it THE SECRET! The Real Secret is no secret at all! Your Word is out there for everyone to know and read and come to know you. That's it, so simple.

SET A GAURD OVER MY MOUTH, O LORD, KEEP WATCH OVER THE DOOR OF MY LIPS Psalm 141:3

I love this Scripture! In my study of "DOORS" in the Scriptures, this one has moved me. I never noticed this Scripture, not really anyway... although I have read the Psalms over and over again...

I can envision the actual sacred and protective guard that the LORD would provide me. They look heavenly and have loving eyes - eyes that smile at me with joy and cheer me on as I speak love - as I speak truth. They flutter about me playfully and enjoy me as I am in the WORD.

They bring me an extraordinary depth of wisdom. All they do is deeper and fuller - weather it be laughing or revealing wisdom or discipline, they do so in extremes.

Lord I give you thanks for the guard that you assign to the doors of my lips! Lord let me be always aware of their presence, aware of the way the come to guard me - aware of how they are here for my good, for my protection. Let me heed their warnings. I thank you for providing doors over my lips and for the way they guard those doors!

Let them have full charge in knowing when to shut the doors and when to allow them to swing wide open!

O LORD, your doors to my heart and lips are amazing! Shut them tight should what my lips want to say not be honoring to you. Let me always glorify you and bring you honor and praise with the words that come and flow out of my lips. Swing WIDE the doors of my lips as I sing songs of praise and worship, as I lift up my fellow brothers and sisters on the journey. Let me speak words of truth, love, direction to my coaching clients.

Let me speak, hear, and communicate only your thoughts. Let me stay so connected to you Father that I never speak anything that is not of you!

Lord and I ask that I be connected in a lovely and sacred way to my guards in which you provide me. Let me love this guard and surrender to Lady Wisdom. Let me know my guard and appreciate her, because she ONLY has the VERY BEST INTENTION for me. Only wants to see me succeed. Lady Wisdom, is what I will call her... Thank you God! I name her this because I want to be a truly lady in all that I do, lovely in gentleness, lovely in kindness, lovely in self-control, lovely in peace making, lovely in gentleness, lovely in forgiveness, lovely in love, lovely in patience, lovely in goodness and lovely in joy!

AND because of the guard you provide me with, and the amazing amount of Wisdom she will bring me in all aspects of my life I give thanks!

I am praising you my God and King for all of your provision! You think of EVERYTHING, and always take care of all our needs!

Thoughts on Dreams and Dreaming

I have many God-given dreams and fewer actual dreams that I dream at night.
When I do dream during my sleep most of them are from God and very profound. Well I had one of those very profound dreams Tuesday night, I think it was Wednesday morning, because when I awoke I was just finishing the dream...

Before I share the dream I am going to do a bit of back tracking first.

God seems to drop ONE single word into my Spirit from time to time, and when He does I will type that single word into www.BibleGateway.com and find each and every Scripture verse with that word in it and do my own personal study. I print out the pages with all of the Scriptures on them, then proceed to study them each day, writing out the verse in my journal, then writing beneath the Scripture what God is speaking to me, teaching me and what is applicable to me. One of the words that I have done a study on is the word DOOR(S)... I loved doing this study!

There is one Scripture that I want to share with you here, now. It is
"because a great door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many who oppose me." 1 Corinthians 16:9

OK, so God continues for each of us to Open these amazing doors, doors for us to choose to walk through or not. Should we choose to walk through them we have this journey that we are about to embark upon, not fully knowing where we are being led, but just compelled to say YES. In so doing, this door that we step though leads us onward to do EFFECTIVE work and it's also a GREAT door! So we are about to walk into something bigger than ourselves and it can be scary, because in the very same sentence just behind the comma we are told that there is opposition. So... should we at that point choose the Holy and Sacred doorway or should we choose to play it safe and stay behind?

Well, I feel like our forefathers and mothers have left each of us something in their absence, something really wonderful, therefore I want to do the same. Not really for myself and yet it is for myself... I just know that I want to benefit and give life and share what it is to be a Spiritwalker and HOW to be a Spiritwalker... My heart beats so big for this, for everyone to understand how to do so. All the while getting better at it myself. This is so much the reason that I am called to do this radio show that is up and coming. I feel so honored and so blessed with this privilege, words cannot begin to express. Though there is certainly opposition with the economy being the way that it is right now.

OK, Now onto my Dream Wednesday morning...
I dreamt that me and all of my WPPI (Women of Passionate Purpose International) sisters were on a team retreat in this beautiful and amazing house. We were singing and dancing our praises to God with our arms lifted up unto our King. We were enjoying the time of praise and it was a holy and sacred time that lasted for a long while. At the end of our praise session, we were proceeding on into our meeting and planning things out for the next coming two years. Then it came time for lunch, so we decided to walk to the different local fast food restaurants, grab what we wanted and come back with our food so that we could all eat together. Then after eating we were going to get new updated photos for our website and shoot some videos. So we all went our separate ways to grab our lunches. I decided to go across the street. I was walking and it was a very bright and sunny day and I was wearing a visor. As I walked and made my way all of the sudden the skies became very very dark and gray and then it began to pour down rain. The winds were blowing ferociously, so much so that it was hard to walk. I began to cry. (The symbolism of opposition that is here for us in our lives especially when we have been given EFFECTIVE work to be done by God) Then somehow I was walking with a walker. I know that this was symbolic of God providing me my help when I was feeling so alone and feeble during the storm in my life. I then looked back at the house thinking it would be easier to just turn and go back. Then I looked forward to where my food supply was. (I recognize this being symbolic of needing my Spiritual nourishment from God). I chose to press onward. I kept walking even though feeling very feeble. I got to my destination, and there was no way to enter into the building as they only had a window that I could walk up to to place my order. As I came to the window, she opened it up and as she did she opened the windows of heaven to me! Then sitting next to the window on the outside of the building was a Police Officer. He was smiling and appeared to be absolutely radiant. His smile caused me to smile even through my tears. He was symbolic of God going before me, watching me press on, stepping through the door, pressing on... trusting and not quitting. He then spoke to me and told me that He would always be going ahead of me, calling me onward, praising me and my efforts. He told me that I need to learn to walk, learn to get steadier on my feet, to choose to walk onward, even through the storms and the fear. Onward is where my God-given dreams and destiny are, and yes there will be storms and raging winds, but nothing we can't handle together. He told me that we could put my walker in His car and that He would give me a ride back home. So he did, and then told me that He'd hang onto the walker, and when I felt feeble again, he'd provide it for me again at just the right time, and to remember that He'd be calling me forth and helping me. That He's sees me at all times and loves me.

I was so grateful for His dream, because on Thursday I woke up with my eyes swollen shut from allergies and I began to cry. I didn't want to go on all of my appointments for the sponsorship of the radio show looking so badly. Bruce was so encouraging me and asked me poignant questions about what REALLY mattered to me. I was experiencing outside opposition, along with my own internal opposition with the negative self talk that we all can fall prey to. I got up and got ready for my day, God provided me with my walker and my Police Office and so much more that day because I didn't look back, I looked onward and pressed on to the call and boy was I blessed! In the appointments that I had Wed, Thurs, and Friday each person I met with was absolutely God-ordained! God is The Great Provider, The Great Door Opener!

Step through the God-Given Doors of your Dreams! Even when you face some of the storms of life it is worth it, it really is!

QUESTIONS JESUS ASKS - Trees Walking... Shifts In Perspective Are Always Needed

OK, here's our passage for today...(and several more days)

Mark 8:22-26 "They came to Bethsaida, and some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him. He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man's eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, "Do you see anything?" He looked up and said, "I see people; they look like trees walking around." Once more Jesus put his hands on the man's eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly. Jesus sent him home, saying, "Don't go into the village."

There is so much in this passage of Scripture that I am going to come back to it over and over as God continues to open my eyes to it. I know that there is much to this passage that He has for me. Today it seems that God wants me to look at PERSPECTIVE right now, so that is what I am going to "focus my eyes on" today.

In verse 24, after Jesus has taken the blind man by the hand and taken him outside the village, spit on the mans eyes and put his hands on him, then after that Jesus asks him "Do you see anything?"

The mans response is "I SEE PEOPLE; THEY LOOK LIKE TREES WALKING AROUND."
How many times do you see people all around you not as people, but as objects? How is it that we are viewing them? What about your spouse, your friends, your boss, your co-worker, your team, your children?

Have you allowed yourself to become jaded to who they really are in Christ? What about yourself? How are you viewing yourself? Are you seeing yourself as someone that doesn't measure up? Or as someone who will never get it right? Someone who doesn't see the true passion and joy in this world any more?

Maybe it's your view on Christ? How do you see Him in your life? When was the last time you allowed Him to take you by the hand and remove you from the outside influences of life? To take you away so that you could begin to see Him, others and yourself with the absolute truths that are really there?

Allow God to take you by the hand TODAY, take some time to be with Him, to see HIM with new eyes, to see OTHERS with new eyes, and to see YOURSELF with new eyes! It's time for you to take the hand in hand walk with the Creator of the World and Restore Your Sight!

While doing so, ask God to give you new Perspectives in all the areas He wants you to have. Commit to placing your hand in His each and every day and take a "Perspective Stroll" with El Roi- The God of Seeing, The God who Sees You, The God who Opens Your Eyes!

Prayers for each of us as we continue our journey, as we each follow our God-given calling upon this earth. Prayers for each of you as you see God in action, praying that you become a witness in your very own faith story of the miracles of our God, how He moves you to tears, moves you to laughter, moves you to action, moves you... moves you physically, moves you spiritually and moves you emotionally.

Prayers for family, prayers for new life, for my soon to be here grandson, my very first grandchild, prayers for my daughter Kellie Ann as her delivery date is drawing nearer and nearer. Prayers of thanksgiving for my daughter Tabitha rising… rising… rising… Prayers of thanksgiving for my sons-in-law, Prayers of thanksgiving as my wedding anniversary nears and for all the years of love I have shared in my marriage.

Prayers for each of us here reading as we continue on in our very own prayers. Our Lord knows your needs, I am praying that we all find ourselves closer to our Maker with each passing day, that we cling to His love, that we surrender all.... that we walk away lighter each day, walk away brighter at the end of each day. QUESTIONS JESUS ASKED? - What Is More Important?

The Question that Jesus is asking me today...
"IS NOT LIFE MORE IMPORTANT THAN FOOD, AND THE BODY MORE IMPORTANT THAN CLOTHES?" Matthew 6:25

I can almost hear the tone in Jesus' voice as He asks me this, almost a tone of frustration, like "don't you get this Kathryn?" like "how long is it going to be before you finally understand girl?"...

I know that when my girls were growing up and as a parent, I ALWAYS wanted what was best for them 10 out of 10 times, every single time, always always always! Wanting them to have certain things sink in and sometimes feeling the frustration of "why don't they get this?" I think Jesus is feeling the same way here with me. He ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS 10 out of 10 times wants what is best for me. I know that and I believe that without question. So why is it that I can seem to know when something is best for me and yet I choose what is worst for me? Why do I do that?

So, is LIFE more important than FOOD? Yes it is. Of course I need food to live and sustain my life, BUT what kind of food am I choosing? So much of the time I will choose cookies or ice cream over apples, oranges, grapes. I know which of these foods is real food vs junk food, I know which brings me health, life, energy as well as I know which ones bring me a temporary feeling of satisfaction vs long term dissatisfaction. One gives health and energy and keeps me from gaining weight, while the other cause me to feel sluggish, stuffed, lazy and adds weight to by Body Temple.

LORD, I want to choose LIFE, create in me strength where there is weakness, create in me submission where there is wanting wanting wanting, create in my satisfaction when the right and beautiful choices are made. Create in me the desire for apples, oranges, grapes rather than the desire for cookies, ice cream and junk. In fact remove the desire in me for all things junk and replace it with the delicious craving for the beauty of and the flavor of pineapple, nuts and grains and mango's and bananas.

Your Word is what causes me to have life, for my Spirit to grow, for my love of you to grow, your desire for my best blesses me so. Thank you God for your unending and tirelessness to bring me to higher heights, both in my body as well as my mind...

Renew me, Recreate my will into yours which is SO much better, Renew my mind, Transform me... My belief and faith in you increases with each passing day.

Let my Spirit rise as I quiet my mind and listen to your heart felt questions that are full of true love for me. Let my heart hear your questions that are full of life and promise and love...

LOVE - How Closely Will We Look At Love?

I have previously done my own study on all of the questions that Jesus asked in the Bible. I take those questions and I write them out as though Jesus were asking me personally. I have started doing this powerful study again knowing that a few years have gone by since the last time I've done this study, and knowing that my answers will be different now from years past.

I started this study again today...

I have highlighted every single verse in my Bible with a blue highlighter so that I can see each of the questions that Jesus asked.

The very first question that Jesus poses to me is in Matthew chapter 5:46-47 and it would be easier to answer the first question all by itself, but He asks several questions all at once, without even taking a breath between asking... So I know that they all must be asked of me at once, as Jesus is obviously making a point here.

Here is the passage: "IF YOU LOVE THOSE WHO LOVE YOU, WHAT REWARD WILL YOU GET? ARE NOT EVEN THE TAX COLLECTORS DOING THAT? AND IF YOU GREET ONLY YOUR BROTHERS, WHAT ARE YOU DOING MORE THAN OTHERS? DO NOT EVEN PAGANS DO THAT?"

How closely do I want to look at this series of questions? The first question is "If you love those who love you, what reward will you get?" is one when posed all by itself is so easy to answer, feels so good in what the answer would be! The rewards would be wonderful, love would be overflowing in all of my relationships, love would be deeply felt, and would be the ruling factor at all times. If we were to view all of our relationships only through the lens of love at all times, knowing that there is amazing rewards for doing so, we all would be doing life on such I higer level of consciousness! So to me this question posed all by itself is an awesome question! It makes me realize that I want to view love as the reward, ss the holy outcome of all that I do. I love this question! It all by itself is powerful and life changing for me, it truly is as I ponder more deeply the REWARDS of LOVE. I could go on and on about this but let's go ahead and move on to the rest... Let's look closer as Jesus really wants us to.

BUT! As I look at this passage even closer, because that's what our Lord really wants us to do, He wants us to dig deeper...

One of the points that He wants us to get here is that it's much easier to love those that we like, but what about those that we don't really like? If I rely on myself to love those that I don't really even like it seems so hard to do. I have the full awareness that in this case, I truly need to die to myself and all the power of the Spirit, living and dwelling within me to do it for me. This is the power that we actually have residing in us that is amazing! Let us learn to live in the power of ths Spirit more and more, He makes things easy for us, actually doing those things for us! We can only imagine the rewards that we should experience by doing so, by loving the way that God calls us to. It's pretty cool!

Let us look closely at those things that are right on the end of our noses that God really does want us to see! Let's look deeply into the questions that God has for us, He's asking us good questions, questions that we need to answer with our lives turned over to Him.

CREATIVE PRAYER

A time for Sacred Order in our lives is a time for us to reflect on those things that take up space in our lives. Spiritually, physically, and emotionally we all have things that can get in the way of the Sacred and the Orderly.

I've keep the intention of holding a Sacred time each day to be able to spend with God. Keeping my mind open to the Creative Sacred Orders of the day, with an openness to what the Spirit would lead me to do during that time. Though it an Orderly time, it is not rigid. I have been discovering movement in many ways to be with God. It's been interesting for me to allow myself to be open, rather than thinking that I have to be with God in one set way.

Some of the ways that I have invited Sacred Order into my life is to paint the way that the Spirit leads me to. I've never been a painter; in fact I have been the one to always say "I can't even draw a stick figure" and have believed that because I have said it. BUT I have started painting... Elementary it might be... but it takes me to the Sacred places with God! 

What we say, think about the things that you say and give "life" to in our life. Recognize that God has given us the power to renew our minds, gives us power in The Spoken Word. He created us this way, to tear down, or build up - ourselves as well as others with words. It's one of His ways in which He has created Sacred Order.

I am renewing my mind, speaking new words around my ability to create, to paint, to live out my time with God in the Sacred and Orderly moments.

I have also opened the doors of more creative praying, and have found that in this creative space this is an order as well as sacredness to it… My mind doesn’t drift in my prayer time, but seems to remain focused on who and what I am praying for.

Here is a view of the way I am starting to do this… In my prayers for my family, for Bruce and I, the church, the ministries in my life, the people in my life… This is a picture of praying through 1 Corinthians 13 for Bruce & I. I want to be a 1 Corinthians kind of wife, we had this read at our wedding in 1989 and it still moves me to new heights each time I read it and apply it to my life…

I painted my "SACRED LISTENING WOMAN" and I don't know if you can see it in this photo or not but I also painted two muted trees "underneath" her face symbolizing New Life and Growth. Her eyelashes are sacred wings...

This is my very first painting using acrylics and I must confess that I didn't feel "ready" to paint on my precious canvas, still needing to learn the way the paint brushes feel, how much to use... etc... so I used my big water color tablet :) Felt safer to start that way for me. In the end I took my Iridescent Gold and washed the entire painting with it. I might have muted the painting too much in doing so. I didn't realize how it would mute it, I thought it would make it more sparkely and shiny. But here it is! :)

God had prompted me to do a study of all the Scriptures regarding CLOUDS and it is truly amazing how God shows up in the clouds! He is amazing! He was a Pillar of Cloud during the day and a Pillar of Fire by night, at the baptism of Jesus out of a cloud came the voice of God announcing to all those who where there "This is my son, whom I'm well pleased, LISTEN to Him" [emphasis mine], and that the clouds are the dust beneath His feet... The list of the majesty of the clouds goes on and on... This is my painting depicting the sky, the waters, the light and the clouds are filled with His awesome presence.

Well, actually, I do believe there's one wrong way, and that is to let the dream stagnate without taking any action! I am embarking on this time of exploration because I am in a new season of my life, formally ending two decades of single parenting. My son recently accepted an out of state job promotion, taking his sweet wife and my two young grandsons with him. Shortly thereafter, my daughter announced her engagement, which means she, too, will be moving away from our home area. In the blink of an eye, without my permission, I have been thrust into a new chapter of my life. On one hand, I am sad and fearful. On the other hand, now I have no more excuses for not doing whatever I want, which is another way of saying "whatever I feel God is calling me to do next." I am operating in a spirit of supersized living right now, and not just because I may soon be draped in large muumuus, walking barefoot to the local market to buy macadamia-?nut chocolates, and blatantly enticing my family with extended holiday vacations in paradise. Dreaming in high definition and surround sound and then taking appropriate steps to live those dreams is what this book is all about. You may not have a burning desire to move to a distant land, but what do you want out of life? Are you a student anxiously finishing college? A young mom who's busy raising twins? An overseas missionary on a brand-?new assignment? A career woman vying for an enviable position? A widow with only a few pressing obligations? Amos 4:13 tells us that God reveals His thoughts to us: "He who forms the mountains, who creates the wind, and who reveals his thoughts to mortals, who turns dawn to darkness, and treads on the heights of the earth the Lord God Almighty is his name." I can't help but think: If only someone had told me that! or Why didn't I learn that in school? What do Mind and Spirit Have To Do With One Another?

"The unspiritual self, just as it is by nature, can't receive the gifts of God's Spirit. There's no capacity for them. They seem like so much silliness. Spirit can be known only by spirit-God's Spirit and our spirits in open communion. Spiritually alive, we have access to everything God's Spirit is doing, and can't be judged by unspiritual critics. Isaiah's question, "Is there anyone around who knows God's Spirit, anyone who knows what he is doing?" has been answered: Christ knows, [we have the mind of Christ] and we have Christ's Spirit."

1 Corinthians 2: 15-16 The Message [NIV]

What do you notice immediately here? I see from the first verse listed here, we have "TWO SELVES" an UNspiritual self and a Spiritual self. Thinking about this causes me to burst with passion here! Which "SELF" do you want to live by? For me, and I'm sure for most of you reading this choose your SPIRITUAL SELF. But wait a minute, let's look at this a bit deeper.... go with me here... If we are to be honest with ourselves and were to answer the question: "What percentage of your daily life is lived through your SPIRITUAL SELF vs. your UNspiritual Self?" What would your answer be? Why is it that our UNspiritual self gets such a hold on us? God has given us healthy minds gifted with the power of choice. So why aren’t we choosing to live more fully into our SPIRITUAL Selves? Do we fear this kind of living? Do we? I think we do, and yet I think we want it, even crave it. Then fear creeps in and snatches it away.

The very next part of the sentence states that the Unspiritual self can’t even receive the gifts of God’s Spirit!!! Oh my gosh! That answers SO much. When we choose not to live as the Spirit leads then we basically have what I will call our “Spiritual Antenna” down. We fail to pick up on the leading of the Spirit, we fail to connect with God, our ears are plugged up, our hearts are hardened, our minds aren’t receiving through the Spirit, or the mind of God. Why in the world do we choose this self, the Unspiritual Self? And what’s more, we fail to see the power, the untapped amounts of real life that we could have. We see it from a warped lens, seeing it as “silliness” as ridiculous, stupid, or absurd. It’s like we voluntarily choose to live a powerless life. A life unfulfilled, disgruntled, and dissatisfied. Why? Why are we choosing this over what is readily available to us? What’s here? What’s the reason for this kind of choosing? I know we all do it, I know we blindly choose it. Is it because we are so used to choosing this kind of living? Are we just not really aware?

Well, we need to be AWARE of what we are choosing. Because once we become aware, then our AWARENESS DEMANDS ACTION. Even doing nothing is an action. We need to be awakened to our full potential to live alive, to live powerful lives. To live into our SPIRITUAL selves. As I become more aware and contemplate the power of the Mind and the Spirit, I become absolutely enthralled, especially when contemplating them coupled together. Once we become aware of the action we can choose we can live awakened lives, with the Spirit and mind of Christ. Why do we want to miss that? What would happen if you were to choose this, for one day, one week, one month, one quarter, one year, ONE WHOLE LIFE? What would be different for you? What would be different for the world?

The passage goes on to say these things “Spirit can be known only by spirit-God's Spirit and our spirits in open communion. Spiritually alive, we have access to everything God's Spirit is doing, and can't be judged by unspiritual critics. Isaiah's question, "Is there anyone around who knows God's Spirit, anyone who knows what he is doing?" has been answered: Christ knows, [we have the mind of Christ] and we have Christ's Spirit.”

What we have here is a gift that has been lovingly and powerfully delivered to us, living within us is both the Spirit and Mind of Christ, IF we choose it.

“Spirit can be known only by Spirit, God’s Spirit and our spirits in open communion” ummm ummm ummm… I LOVE this! I KNOW this; my Spirit resonates completely with this. When I am in the company of others who are “Spiritually alive” my Spirit recognizes this in them immediately, I know yours does the same. We together in communion recognize this within each other. We feel and experience the power of the Spirit in one another.

Let me share another Scripture with you. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting the baby (John) leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. Luke 1:41

This confirms what the 1 Corinthians passage above is telling us. Spirit can be known by Spirit, God’s Spirit and our Spirits in open communion. Spiritually alive! I love this! --Elizabeth was then at least six months pregnant as v. 36 tells us. She notes the reality that John "leaped" in her womb as an indication of his joy that Mary, who would bear the Messiah, had come for a visit. The Holy Spirit also came upon Elizabeth then making it known to her to greet Mary as the mother of Messiah. The Spirit evidently gave her intuitive understanding of Mary's role. She expressed her blessing excitedly in joyful praise to God and because of the Spirit's propelling.

I have had my Spirit rise with joy when I am with others who love God. It’s amazing the connection (that communion) – we feel when our Spirit recognizes the Spirit in another human being. I have some really deep soul/Spirit connections with some amazing women, especially on the WPPI Team, and together we grab hold of our God-given passions and go! Have you had your Spirit rise with this amazing joy at a Holy Spirit connection with someone? I’m sure you have. You might not have called it that, but I really want you to become more and more aware of these things of the Spirit. I believe we all experience our Spirit’s rise with joy when we are with others who love God! It’s amazing the kind of connection that comes forth, AND the more power we have together in the Spirit, BECAUSE WE HAVE ACCESS TO EVERYTHING GOD’S SPIRIT IS DOING, we have the Spirit living and dwelling within us. We begin to live our lives with more and more of the Mind of Christ; living out our callings with His power, and His will. His will is amazing and truly rocks! We begin seeing the world more as He does and start doing and being and living by the Spirit…

Let our challenge be to live out this verse in our living! Let us choose our God-given SPIRITUAL SELVES! May you live in that amazing POWER today and always!

OUR BODY TEMPLE

The Lord has given me these verses as I have prayed for His revelation in regard to my Body Temple, and He has impressed it upon me to share. As I do so, please know that this is just as much for me (if not more) as it is for you. The SCRIPTURE will be written in black and the THOUGHTS that the LORD has revealed to me through the reading of His Word will be in blue.

From Psalm 119:33-40

Teach me, O LORD, the way of Your statues God, thank you that you want me to learn, LORD let me always have a keen desire to soak in your teachings, let me have a hunger and a thirst for those things and keep me from my own fleshly hungers, my own edicts, and solidly stand in Yours! When I feel tempted my things remind me of Your Spirit living within me! O LORD, I want to walk only in Your ways, physically, Spiritually and mentally. Teach me God, teach me. And I shall keep it to the end. Let me start each day, each thought, each breath and finish each day with Your will and Your Word for me this day and always. Keep me with you... Keep me, hold me Lord in your endless and overflowing love. Give me understanding, and I shall keep Your law; Indeed, I shall observe it with my whole heart. Cause me not to rationalize with my understanding but with Your graceful laws, grant me the reasoning for it, so that I no longer desire my own will but Yours. For Yours is truly best. Let my heart fall in love with Your ways, knowing that You always know what is better for me than I ever could. Let me never lean on my own understanding but in Your as You make it known to me through Your Word and the Holy Spirit that is living in me. Make me walk in the path of Your commandments, for I delight in it. Oh Lord, MAKE ME walk with You, even when I find myself wanting to walk my own path, draw me back unto Your path! LORD let me truly find Your commandments not to be a harsh thought, as the word commandment seems so strong, it causes me to want to run from it! Stop me LORD from running way and getting lost on my path, but call me, let me follow Your path, with sheer joy as I trust and know that Your path is the path of restoration, wholeness and resurrection! Incline my heart to Your testimonies, and not to covetousness. Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things. You Lord cause my heart to beat for the things that Your heart beats for! Keep me from the want of things that You do not want for my Body Temple, which houses the Holy Spirit! Literally TURN my eyes and longing from those foods and things that are not of YOU. In fact let me see then as truly what they are - worthless. So why would I ever want to put anything in my mouth that holds no worth? Father take your hand and turn my head, keep my eyes from even looking! You can, and I will rely on You for just that! Hallelujah! and revive me in Your way. Bring to me a resurrected life in which I only live the way You would have me! YES!! Revival!! Bring me the revival, the new breath of your Holy Spirit which leads me to truth, joy, fulfillment and health! Power me with Your strength to say No to those things easily so that they become no temptation to me and that I don't even see them any more because You have turned my eyes away, I have surrendered to Your power! Establish Your Word to Your servant, who is devoted to fearing You. Launch me each and every morning into Your amazing and beautiful Word! Mmmmm.... mmmmm it is so good, so true, so full and fulfilling! Your Word causes me to be Yours, fully faithful and committed to respecting Your healthy ideals for me. Turn away my reproach which I dread, Let me never make excuses or try to justify my own cravings which in the end I feel guilty about and ultimately worse for not following what You have guided me to do, which is honestly best for me. for Your judgments are good. You cannot, nor would You ever direct me to anything except for that which is first-class! Your judgements are righteous and holy. I trust that and let that knowing sink down deeply into my Spirit. Behold, I long for Your precepts; Craving Your Word, Your teachings, Your guidelines now I surrender those things to which You have asked me to , take them from me Lord. Let me BEHOLD your majesty! revive me in Your righteousness. Oh what freedom I find here with You!! The revival has begun! Your care and love for me have strengthened me to keep My Body - Your Temple as a Holy dwelling place for You to reside, and to grow in strength so that I might serve You even better!! You live in me, You cleanse me, You revive me!!!

What are the God-given doorways

in your life?

"BLESSED IS THE MAN WHO LISTENS TO ME, WATCHING DAILY AT MY DOORS, WAITING AT MY DOORWAY. FOR THOSE WHO FIND ME FIND LIFE AND RECEIVE FAVOR FROM THE LORD " Proverbs 8:34-35

Have you ever given much thought to the doors that the Lord might be opening in your life? Especially when you wait on him to call you, then as you truly listen to Him and proceed to take the courage to actually do what He asks of you? The LORD God Himself actually escorts you as you take the steps! If you commence to walking with Him you soon will be astonished with the incredible journey He will take you on! For me it has been truly grand!

As I become more and more obedient to Him, to His direction, the blessings just keep coming my way! I have been so busy these last few months experiencing the many doors He has opened unto me! I have been astounded by His abundance and blessing upon my life. All of the Holy Spirit directed connections, the new women He has place in my life and all that we are up to together for Him is huge!

God has so much to bestow upon those who seek Him and seek His will. What perspective do you take as you begin to view the Heavenly Doors? Have you ever really thought about doors and the passageways as heavenly?

Do you choose to stay in the room with your ears plugged and the doors shut tightly all around you in order not to venture out? Does that idea feel safer to you so that you do not have to take any risks?

What would it be like for you if you were to view the word risk and shift the perspective of it? Shift the viewpoint of RISK to FAITH? Faithfully seeing a door as a heavenly opening? What doors are you keeping tightly shut that you know you should be opening? What might be on the other side of the door should you open it?

In the verse above you see that as you listen to the calling of the LORD you will be blessed! I am so amazed at the way He calls us forth to do His work! Until the end of time we must be listening to Him, listening to His voice, His Words of wisdom, His Words of direction, His Words of love. his true desire is to bless us, not to cause us to fear Him or His calling on our lives.

I love the second part of this passage as we are instructed to watch DAILY at His doors. Not just every now and then, or once a month when we think about it, but every single day we are to be WAITING AND WATCHING at His doors, waiting for Him to bless us!

The thought of this is beautiful to me as I begin to become more and more aware of the doors that He is guiding me to walk through each and every day.

Picture the glow peeking through, radiating from underneath the door, beckoning you to come... to draw closer and closer to the door. Laying on your tummy with your face up close to the door, you begin to peer through the opening seeing the lights luminosity and your nostrils take in the smells of fresh air, smelling the sweet fragrance of a magnolia tree! The scent fills you with warmth and hope for the day!

You begin to rise, placing your hand upon the old antique door knob which juts out from the old wooden hewn door - leading to the heavenly places of God, as He calls you forth; you go... you go...

You journey on with expectancy from Him who leads...

GATES & DOORS --- Devotional

"The angel who talked with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city, it's gates and its walls." Revelation 21:15

"The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of pure gold, like transparent glass." Revelation 21:21

Oh Lord, to see the vision of this angel---

This angel talking with John!

I picture this and even can experience it in a seemingly smoky kind of way. I know that this is something extraordinary - yet not to You God - not to You at all.

Gold, glorious gold, the angels measuring rod - obviously yielding powers of You God - with abilities far beyond our earthly comprehension. But you have shown us throughout your Word what power you can bring forth - what amazing acts and mighty power can come through a simple stick - or a staff- even a snake.

So... I know that this Golden Measuring Rod was used in Revelation 11 to ensure protection and here in chapter 21 to be used for measuring.... -- mmmmmm.... mmmmm... I soak in your power and majesty. I soak in awe - and joy- and holy fear of all that you are capable of.

Measure me my LORD - let me grow taller and stronger and more powerful through you to be used for You. Grow me, stretch me, let me "measure up" let me in my own unworthiness take on and be cloaked in Your worthiness. Keep me within the bounds of your Holy Walls and Gates, let me not step outside of Your will or Your protection. Protect me with Your rod, keep me within Your gates so that I remain always focused on You - serving You - through Your power.

Let me have every bit of the power You want me to have through the Holy Spirit - let me be fully surrendered and keep measuring me. Allow Your Angels to speak to me. Allow Your Angels to measure me. Keep the Angels that You assign to me ever present, let me hear their words, let me respond accordingly. Thank you my LORD for Your amazing protection - for Your amazing love and your amazing creation!!

WOMEN OF PASSIONATE PURPOSE (WOPP) - Hosting a Christian Women's Writers' Retreat in Mt. Bethel, Pennsylvania - September 21st- 23rd, 2009

I am really excited to share with you our upcoming "WOMEN OF PASSIONATE PURPOSE" Christian Women's Writing Retreat! Marykay Moore and myself are hosting it in beautiful Mt. Bethel, Pennsylvania, which is approximately 20 minutes away from the breath taking Pocono Mountains! It will be held September 21st-25th, 2009.

It is absolutely beautiful there, and will be especially gorgeous at the beginning of the fall season.

This writers retreat is designed even for the journaler, and those who dabble in poems, song writing, devotional writers, the novice, as well as to the published author. It is our passion and our purpose to nudge even the most hesitant journal keeper to the most devout daily writer. Come and explore your God-given inner thoughts with your outer experiences and bring them to life! Put them all on paper for the greater good of God's kingdom.

We are here to inspire you to soak in the tub of beautiful and lovely words, allowing them to bubble up and out of you... Imagine yourself soaking in this wonderful tub, relaxed, smelling the aroma of fall all around you, lit with the candlelight of inspiration from the Holy Spirit...

You will find your writers voice, you will enjoy other voices of other women having your Spirit stirred and become amazingly encouraged, inspired to write what is within you and what God longs to be released!

UNENDING LIFE

I subscribe to the daily word from this dictionary reference. Those of you that know me, know that I am one who loves words! I love the meaning that ONE simple word can hold within a few letters. I find it fascinating and valuable. I love the power of the spoken word in each of our lives, how we are able to build one another up with our words and the beauty that comes along with that.

God created our Spirit’s within to be moved to a deeper level of intimacy and to be emotionally touched by them. He created the earth and all that is in it and the galaxies with a spoken Word!

Today’s daily word is “INTERMINABLE” pronounced “in-TUR-muh-nuh-buhl “ It means this: “So long as to seem endless; never stopping”

As I began to contemplate this word, I thought about God’s forgiveness is for us, how His peace is for us, His love, His way of blessing us is "interminable!" Thank you God for your endlessness, for loving us endlessly! Ummmmm.... ummmmm soak this in, bathe in it... for it is a gift that is truly endless.

Each and every day we rise with a gorgeous sunrise and each and everyday we witness His magnificent sunsets. This is something that our Lord has done each and every day of our waking and sleeping, it’s endless, never stopping!

Meditate on this Scripture passage:
"But you, dear friends, carefully build yourselves up in this most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit, staying right at the center of God's love, keeping your arms open and outstretched, ready for the mercy of our Master, Jesus Christ This is the unending life, the real life!" Jude 1:20

Behold the meaning of this Scripture, read it over and over and over. What does the Lord reveal to you about Himself? Praise Him for it...

What might you do for the greater good that is interminable?
What might you do for the building up of another?
How often do you find yourself praying in the Holy Spirit?
Think about what it is for you to "stay right in the center of God's love, keeping your arms open and outstretched" ... Wow!

Body Temple

Each of us has been given a Body Temple in which we house our Holy Spirit. Some bodies short, some tall, some round, some boxy... no matter, let us be clean vessels, healthy and holy to be used by our Lord for the work in which He calls... The Lord has given me these verses today as I have prayed for His revelation in regard to my Body Temple, and He as impressed it upon me to share with you... (Please know that this was just as much for me, if not more-- as it is for you)... The Scripture is in black and I have written in blue, what our LORD has revealed to me through the reading of His Word...

From Psalm 119:33-40
Teach me, O LORD, the way of Your statutes, God, thank you that you want me to learn, LORD let me always have a keen desire to soak in your teachings, let me have a hunger and a thirst for those things and keep me from my own fleshly hungers, my own edicts, and solidly stand in Yours. And I shall keep it to the end. Let me start and finish each day with Your will and Your Word for me this day, and every day. Give me understanding, and I shall keep Your law; Indeed, I shall observe it with my whole heart. Cause me not to rationalize with my understanding but with Your law, grant me the reasoning for it, so that I no longer desire my own will but Yours. Let my heart fall in love with Your ways, knowing that You always know what is better for me than I ever could. Let me never lean on my own understanding but in Yours as you make it known to me through Your Word and Your Holy Spirit that is living in me. Make me walk in the path of Your commandments, for I delight in it. Oh Lord, MAKE ME walk with You even when I find myself wanting to walk my own path, draw me back unto Your path! Lord let me truly find your commandments not to be a harsh thought, as the word commandment seems so strong, it causes me to want to run from it! Stop me LORD from running away and getting lost on my path, but call me, let me follow Your path, with sheer joy as I trust and know that Your path is the path of restoration, wholeness and resurrection! Incline my heart to Your testimonies, and not to covetousness. Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, You Lord cause my heart to beat for the things that your heart beats for! Keep me from the want of things that You do not want for my Body Temple which houses the Holy Spirit! Literally, turn my vision and longing away from those foods that are not of You. In fact they are worthless, so why would I ever want to put anything in my mouth that holds no worth? and revive me in Your way. Bring to me a resurrected life in which I only live the way you would have me! Bring me the rival, the new breath of your Holy Spirit which leads me to truth, joy, fulfillment and health! Establish Your word to Your servant, who is devoted to fearing You. Launch me each and every morning into Your Word, causing me to be Yours, fully faithful and committed to respecting Your healthy ideals for me. Turn away my reproach which I dread, Let me never make excuses or try to justify my own cravings which in the end I feel guilty about and ultimately worse for not following what you have guided me to do for Your judgments are good. You cannot, nor would you ever direct me to anything except for what is first-class and holy. Behold, I long for Your precepts; Craving Your Word, Your teachings, your guidelines now I surrender those things in which You have asked me to, take them from me Lord revive me in Your righteousness Oh what freedom I find here with you! The revival has begun, your care and love for me have strengthened me to keep My Body- Your Temple as a Holy dwelling place for You to reside, and to grow in strength so that I might serve you even better!
